i've talked to manikku and while the following statement is bad news for the mod. I also have a workaround i test:

Heya Manikku, i really love your mod as i'm also a Klonoa fan :D
I've had some issues with mods while i used them, and noticed that your mod always equips itself after i start the game. Is this something you can perhaps fix? I really would appricate it!

I love the idea of this mod but please can you fix the auto-equipping ?

Can you update this mod to be a flair instead of a seperate hat?

Has there been an update to this mod that disables auto-equip AND makes this into a flair?

Could you make this as a flair?

Please make this stop auto-equipping.

Ah, that's great! Someone on the Discord knows how to, Cypher, said he was going to make a tutorial for exactly that.

If there's a tutorial on how to make a hat into a flair, I'll update my hats with it
