This guide will explain how the weapons of metro work,what weapons you should buy,upgrade or sell.

The Submachine Gun

Now this thing is the first gun you will get in the game."Submachinegun, 5.45 caliber-It's got poor accuracy and overheats like hell-That's why they call it a "Steam censored the name gun".
Its actually not bad if you use short controlled bursts with it,if you choose to upgrade this gun,get a silencer,you will only need that.Scopes are not of great help on this anyways.It is great for a starter gun.

The Revolver

It's what it name says,its a revolver,great in combat actually,deals good damage and is lethal at close to medium range without any attachments.I recommend getting the Stock + Forend mod,and possibly a suppressor if you are playing in survival,if playing on spartan,get the Extended Barrel.

The Kalash/Kalash 2012

Now this is what I call a weapon.The kalash is a reliable gun in this game,both good at medium to long range shooting and decent when spraying it at close range.Get a suppressor on this,no need for fancy sights,the stock one is just good.Now let's talk about the kalash 2012.
This thing is awesome.It just is.It has high damage,high firerate and is very accurate.
Get a suppressor and a reflex sight on this one.It will be worth it.

Hellbreath

If you get this,if you somehow get this,it's good.Thats it.

Helsing

Pump it LOUDER!Pump it LOUDER!
Pneumatic weapon.Silent.Deadly.It's decent but not the best weapon in game.I'd sell it and get something better,but it has commonly found ammo.

Tihar

This is basically the cheaper version of the Helsing.BUT it deals less damage,considerably.
If you like pneumatic weapons,then by all means use this.I'd sell it,but if you want a cheap to use and silent weapon,then yes this weapon is actually very decent.

VSV

Fully automatic silenced sniper.High damage,recommend getting NV scope for it.It's basically a Kalash that is silenced and is a sniper.It is good anyways.

Duplet

Double barrel shotgun.Works well against nosalises.Its an ok starter weapon.Recommend getting the Quad-barrels attachment,it looks badass and you can shoot 4 shells.

Shambler

This is the go-to shotgun,it can hold 6 shells and is semi-automatic.It's highly effective against nosalises and watchmen.It works really well in the claustrophobic tunnels of the metro.

Abzats

The ting go skrraaaaa,well it goes like that with right mouse button.It's a big shotgun which looks like a demon slayer,this thing is accurate,but I don't suggest trying to snipe with it,it has high damage and shoots fast.It's good if you like shotguns,and you will feel like an armored tank using it.
But it jams when you right click.So it goes skrraaaa for 15 bullets.

Bigun

This looks like something you would find behind your grandma's rolling pin.
High Damage and Rate of fire,but it's not accurate.
But you will sure look terrifying in combat with this weapon.

trust me, vsv with silencer, and revolver with stock and silencer, are the BEST guns, if you wanna play by stealth. i love them.

Revolver, Kalash and shambler <3

I usually use a revolver, vsv (you can find one at the armory at the weapon stall), and a shambler, if I'm doing a ranger playthrough then I scrap the revolver

In my opinion the VSV is the best weapon in the game with the revolver being the second best weapon. The kalash 2012 covers a lot of your screen when you try to scope with it and its damage is lower than the VSV and the higher fire rate makes controlling how many bullets you shoot difficult.

I recommend using the Revolver, Kalash/2012, and the Shambler for your long use load out, I suggest you get suppressors for all three (30 bullets) as they are good for stealth and fast paced combat at the same time. The Revolver can one-shot a demon, use it as a sniper, the other two are better for the faster paced combat, but can be used for stealth

Hmm... I have Bourbon's AK with an NV scope, a suppressor, and a laser, a VSV with base suppressor, and a Shambler with an NV scope and an extended barrel. I just came upon a P90/Kalash 2012 with a suppressor and a reflex sight. Any thoughts on which gun I should switch it for?

Not really,but it is recommended you upgrade your weapons.
