Yes it's not the best solution but having just some players there isn't enough. I would've still had to create a ton of youth players I know nothing about. (even in my favorite teams). Maybe I could've created them and left the skills on random, but that would've been a ton of work for nothing.
Loans were made like that for the same reason, to reduce the workload. I didn't feel they were all that essential.

While I applaud the effort, the removal of entire youth teams from clubs is unnecessary as some players are still at the club (I played Arsenal and a quick Wiki search reviled at least 4 players who were at the club who were there in the vanilla game). Players loans have also been done incorrectly, with players either free agented or permanently transferred to the loaning club.
Oh and a simple fix, Falco isn’t transferring to Man Utd anymore.

Never heard of either of them and since this Nelson guy is only 17 now, it would've been pretty weird to have him in Arsenal at the start of the game.
I should've explained it in the description that the only young players I created are the three world class guys mentioned. They're the only ones where I felt I had seen them enough to give some kind of estimate about their potential and skill level.
Most young players who are currently in seniors squads, don't exist in FM14. The cutoff point seemed to be somewhere around players born 1996-1997, some of them existed like Alli, Timo Werner etc. By a quick look I'd guess someone like Gabriel Jesus is the youngest big name player the file had

Ademola Lookman not at everton or charlton ;/
and no nelson for arsenal ;/
