Chrome 'n' Carbon

Inspired by the Carbon cars from Burnout Paradise, I decided to paint the CanyonCar in a similar style; carbon fiber body, and a bunch of chrome bits. I ended up going through about 30 iterations before I was satisfied. Truth be told, the actual Carbon cars from Burnout Paradise have their windows and headlights/taillights outlined in chrome in addition to the other chrome bits, but a potent combination of laziness of a lack of patience resulted in me just using the CanyonCar subobjects I had downloaded. Still, I'm quite happy with the result.

Also, I made this carbon fiber texture myself. I initially planned on just downloading a texture from the internet and using that, but that wouldn't have allowed me to use shinyness tricks to make the actual texture look believable in-game. Trying to create a believable carbon fiber texture is the reason I have thirty different versions of this car on my drive at the moment.

I made the engine sounds the same way I did the ones for Candy 4.0, but instead of pitch-shifting both the engine and exhaust sounds down half an octave, I pitch-shifted the engine sounds UP half an octave while the exhaust sounds were pitch-shifted down half an octave, so the sounds are a full octave apart. It definitely gives the car a more agressive sound.
