300% more experience and scrap (gold)

Most of you know this, but for those who don't:
Go to option then accessibility, ther you can set your rewards for XP and scrap to 300%.
This will make the game quicker and easier (and sometimes more fun).
Also I recommend to change the penalties in the same menu to none. That way all your buddies level up the same.

Step by step
First press options:

Then "accessibility":

And here you can change those options:

When should I use this...
  • If you finished the game already and want to progress faster in the next playthrough
  • For achievement hunting (still better then copy a savegame from another person to get them ;)
  • It's actually recommended in one achievement, to use this option, so you don't go crazy while trying to get it
  • If you want to see the end of the game quickly
  • profit?!?!?
When is this not recommended
  • If you play it for the first time
  • If you want to play the game how it's supposed to been played
  • If you don't want an unholy amount of XP and Gold ;)
Other stuff....
  • I actually think this game is too easy for me....

Change the settings to 50% scrap and XP gain, and penalties to 100%... I am sure you will find a new challenge

  • I like this game

Me too... You might also want to check out Defenders Quest 2[www.defendersquest.com], you already can preorder the game there.

  • I guess that's about it for now. Enjoy the game!

one of the achievements even says to put this on 300% for your own sanity, I did it affter I beat the regular game and moved on to new game +

For regular gameplay I definitely wouldn't advise this.
I actually liked it that after a number of levels, you have to go back to do earlier levels on higher difficulty. With new team members with more XP and skills what was hard will be a breeze, giving new loot, which will help succeed at higher levels..
Well, maybe I'd like the idea of setting reward to +10% but setting the penalty to -(1)30%, that you'd have to take a step back and gather strengths again to try again (at a small XP bonus), but I'd have to check if it is possible, because it could drop levels and introduce exploits.

You can do all the normal mode whitout having hard times and whitout this feature. And you can reduce the amounth of exp/$ you earn as well. Do think "easier" when the game is not intended to be that hard :d Think about challenge, being proud of yourself and not just bashing mob like in a brainless mmo. You will have a far better feeling about a hard game than a far too easy one :)

@Ben Harris:
It's not a cheat, it's a feature. You can access it in the menu, without any cheatcode... ;)
