How to Make an Autoexec.cfg for CS:GO

Autoexec.cfg makes your commands list in 1 file that can be execute automatically. Can be radar, crosshair, key bindings, and many more.
In this guide, I will teach you how to make it.

What is Autoexec(.)cfg?

Autoexec.cfg is a config file that contains a set of commands (Radar, HUD, Crosshair, ...) that can be run with 1 setting. So you don't need to copy-paste your commands into console 1 by 1. You just need to make an autoexec.cfg and copy-paste your commands into it and set it into the CS:GO's launch options.

Things You Will Need

• Notepad. A default Notepad or you can use Notepad++.
  
• Commands that you will need (radar, crosshair, sound, ...)

Locate Your CFG Folder

You can find your CS:GO folder in your Steam Library.

Use Steam

Open your Steam Library > Right click your CS:GO in your game list > Properties > Open the "Local Files" tab > Select "Browse Local Files...".


After the Windows Explorer showed up, go to csgo folder > cfg folder > and in there, you will see your autoexec.cfg. (If there is no autoexec.cfg, you have to create 1. I will teach ya, read below)

Create the Autoexec File

• Open your Notepad

  You can find Notepad in Windows Search and type "Notepad". Or press WINDOWS+R and type "Notepad".
  

• Type or Copy-Paste your Commands

  You can find some useful commands in Google. Just paste your commands into the Notepad and don't forget the format. For example like mine :
  
  "//" means that is not for command or not for to be execute. Use this for title.
  
  For example, I will give my radar setting. It's centered and full scale of map, so u don't need to press TAB to see the full map. (Copy and paste it into your autoexec file)

• Add some Arts into it

  There is an "echo" in CS:GO configuration. So you can make some signature, art, or something like that. It will appear when you run it in the game. For example :

  You can also make art with this. The format :

• Save the File

  We will save it as CFG not TXT. So please read this step carefully.
  Go to "File" tab > Save As > Type the filename : autoexec.cfg (don't forget the .cfg) > Set the type to "All Files" > Save it to the CFG folder. (Your CS:GO folder > csgo > cfg)
  
  

Set the Autoexec File

Now you are done at the file. Next, we will set and apply it to your Steam and your CS:GO.

Open your Steam Library > Right click your CS:GO in your game list > Properties > Keep on "General" tab > Select "Set Launch Options" > Add "+exec autoexec.cfg" without the " > And then press OK.

But I will tell you that not all commands can be execute in the launch options. You have to execute it manually in the game. For example, the viewmodel, everytime you play CS:GO, it will be back to default setting. So you need to run the autoexec manually. But how?

Open your CS:GO > Go to the main menu > Press ` to open the console > Type "exec autoexec".
It will automatically appear when you type "exec autoexec" (don't need the .cfg)
After you do that, your commands will be loaded in a sec and show up your "echo".

And you are completely done.
