How to make a good base

In this guide i'll tell you how to make a good base on multiplayer vanilla servers and show you a few common types of bases alongside some tips.

A few things to note.
1. No base is indestructible, every base can be taken down with the right amount of gear and equipment.
2. I wont be showing any bases that involve going under the map because they can get you banned and are BS to people who dont know how to get to them.
3. I'm also not going to tell you how to make a hidden base, the more people know about them the less secure they are.
The different types of bases on vanilla servers.
I'll be covering the following order of base types:
-Standard bases
-Mega Bases (basically giant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ structures made by a 3+ player group or by an admin)
-Barricade bases
Standard bases
These are your typical bases that we all make on both singleplayer and multiplayer, they can be fairly unique, depending on who builds them (newbie or an experienced player aka pro). The newbie usualy builds box shaped design while the pro uses a technique called honeycombing which essantially is adding additional walls for protection from high caliber weapons such as Dragonfang, Nykorev, grizzly, Matamorez etc. Honeycombing does not provide additional protection from explosives because the explosive damage just passes through it, if you want additional protection from explosives you have to use metal walls for the honeycomb.

A common way that these bases get raided is by either using high caliber weapons to brute force into the base through the doors which is more expensive for the raiders especially if you make an airlock (look at picture above) or making the passageway wrap around your base through some of the honeycomb (bottom pic).

But this can be easily countered by just simply climbing on the roof using barricades or if you placed a claim flag, driving a vehicle next to the base and using the barricades that it had on it to jump onto the roof.
A solution to this issue is making the passageway go on multiple floors:
But sadly in the end all of the bases that i classify as standard bases are weak to one thing (especially wooden ones): explosives. Explosives like the rocket launcher or just a well placed C4 can take out your entire base if it is too small. There is no counter to explosives over than making your base so big the explosives just do smaller damage to the overall base, but if it is so big then its a mega base.
Mega bases
As you might of guessed by the name there just huge bases that if well designed can take a metric ♥♥♥♥ ton of C4 to raid. There usually built on big flat grounds or on some shallow water. But there is not much i can tell you about how to make them as strong as possible because i don't play with large groups (i usualy play alone) so just simply apply all the knowledge that i gave you about standard bases and use it on mega ones, but only if you have a group of 3 or more (or else it'll take ages to build it).
Also make sure it doesnt have any exploitable weakspots.
Barricade bases
Barricade bases are bases that are just simply objects that are part of the map itself but suffer some flaws, mainly:
-You need barricades to block off the windows and doors
-Its a necessity to place barbed wire or spikes around the house so that zombies cant destroy your stuff
-without having safezone radiators the base will be almost impossible to maintain for long periods of time
-it'll be in a place where a lot players walk around so you cant hide it
-all of those resources and time would be better spent on a normal base
BTW i called it barricade bases because i couldnt think of a better name for it.
A few additional tips
- Sentrys are useless without an industrial generator to keep them running when your offline
- If your making a metal base dont use metal for the pillars- just use wooden ones
- Make a base that'll fit your resources, for example dont build a base near military locations if you cant build it strong enough to withstand a basic raid or if your a solo player build the base at locations where nobody comes too
