Weak side
Wooden walls have a weak face(often called the inside wall) which is light brown and flat, while the strong side has tree bark. The sides of the wooden wall are as strong as the front. If you hit the weak face too near the edges then damage is counted as if you were hitting the strong side. You have to be very close to the underside of a wooden ceiling and aim for the middle to inflict 10x damage with tools/melee weapons. Stability doesn't seem to have a bearing on damage inflicted.

Weak side damage multipliers:
  • 10x Tools
  • 10x Melee weapons
  • 2x Bullets
  • 2x Slugs
  • 2x Buckshot
  • 1.2x Incendiary Shells
  • 1.2x Explosive Bullets
  • 1x Explosives
Explosives
  • Timed Explosive Charge: 250+dmg (1 charge)
  • Rocket Launcher(Rocket): 247dmg (*) (2 rockets)
  • Rocket Launcher(Incendiary Rocket): 170dmg (^)(#) (2 rockets)
  • Satchel Charge: 91dmg (3 charges)
  • Rocket Launcher(High Velocity Rocket): 57dmg (*) (5 rockets)
  • 40mm HE Grenade: 31dmg (*) (9 grenades)
  • Landmine: 23dmg (*)(~) (11 mines)
  • Beancan Grenade(right click): 19dmg (!) (14 grenades)
  • Beancan Grenade(left click): 14dmg (*)(!) (18 grenades)
  • Survey Charge: 7dmg (*) (38 charges)
  • F1 Grenade(right click): 2dmg (125 grenades)
  • F1 Grenade(left click): 1.9dmg (*) (132 grenades)

* Inflicts splash damage to building parts.
! Can explode a moment after throwing/placing.
^ Damage caused by started fires is included in the test. Results may vary.
~ Placement can be blocked by a tool cupboard.
# Causes a horrific amount of fire that spreads.

F1 Grenade notes:
F1 Grenades inflict almost no damage to buildings, even to twig. Their purpose is obviously anti-personnel.
Low Grade Fuel
  • Molotov: 63dmg (200 fuel (4 molotovs))
  • Flamethrower: 0.25dmg - 1.31dmg (186 fuel)
  • Chainsaw: 1dmg (250 fuel)

The flamethrower starts a fire after a burst of 13 fuel. If you're too close to the target then you risk burning yourself. The weak side of the wall suffers an additional 18 - 28% more damage. The longer the fuel burst, the more damage is dealt per fuel spent. Firing an entire tank of 100 fuel, and reloading to quickly fire 86 more fuel should destroy a wooden wall. It's probably wise to take more low grade fuel than needed though. Chainsaws seem better suited to resource-gathering than raiding.
Melee weapons
  • Longsword: 1.5dmg (19 swords) 9 hits per weapon
  • Salvaged Cleaver: 1.2dmg (17 cleavers) 13 hits per weapon

  • Stone Spear: 0.23dmg (109 spears) 10 hits per weapon
  • Wooden Spear: 0.2dmg (66 spears) 19 hits per weapon
  • Mace: 0.1dmg (193 maces) 13 hits per weapon
  • Bone Club: 0.02dmg (544 clubs) 23 hits per weapon

Note:
The Jackhammer can inflict minor damage against the Wooden Wall, but Jackhammers seem far more effective when used for resource-gathering.

Other building parts
Wood foundations:
Both wooden square and triangle foundations share the same characteristics as the wooden wall. The weak side of the foundations are the light brown floor, while the support legs and underside that has wooden beam in the middle are the strong faces.

Wood doorframes:
Wooden doorframes share the same characteristics as the wooden wall. If destroyed, any door that the dooframe held will be destroyed. So destroying a wooden doorframe that held a sheet metal door will cost the defender more to replace, compared to just destroying one of their wooden walls.

Wood window:
Wooden windows share the same characteristics as the wooden wall. If a wooden window is destroyed, any window that it held will also be destroyed.

Wood floor:
Both wooden square and triangle floors share the same characteristics as the wooden wall. Not to be confused with foundations, the floor building entity is often a ceiling. The strong face is the one you'd walk on, while the weak face is the one you'd bang your head against. So if you were directly underneath a loot room which had a wooden floor, you could break through upwards for 10x melee damage, or 2x firearm damage. Although the weak face is only vulnerable at the middle, so you have to strike the middle of the beam.

Wood frames:
Both wooden wall and floor frames share the characteristics as the wooden wall with the exception that neither seem to have weak faces.

With Rust being consistently updated I haven't had the time to keep up. Some of the information may be out of date, and misses newer weapons.
