Chaturaji - 4 Player Chaturanga

Welcome! This is a quick implementation of Chaturaji, the 4 player version of Chaturanga, which many consider the common ancestor of classic abstract strategy games like Chess, Shogi, Xiangqi and Maruk.

This game can be played by using 4-sided dice (in this case two D4's) to decide which pieces you can move on a given turn. You can also play without using any dice.

If you play using the dice, here's a chart that tells you what you can move depending on what you roll:

1 = Bishop (Boat)
2 = Knight
3 = Rook (Elephant)
4 = King or Pawn
