Lower Hood: Feline armor etc. (no mods)

A simple guide on how to lower the hood on Geralt's armor without any modding on the PC version...

Solution

To lower the hood on Geralt's armor just do the following:

1. Open folder and edit file (general.ini):

• \\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\bin\config\base\general.ini

2. Add the following on a new line under [General] and save the file to activate ingame console:

• DBGConsoleOn=true

3. Startup game and open console by pressing:

• : Colon on Nordic keyboards or æ, ö

• ~ Tilde on US keyboards

  (Might be other key for country specific keyboards)

4. Type or copy/paste the following into console and hit the 'Enter' key:

• additem('Geralt robbery mask')

The above command will add an invisible two slotted mask to inventory - which will lower the hood when worn.

Thanks for the easy guide.

I love the look of the feline armor but I hate how it makes Geralt looks like a low level thug/hides his manly-man face.
Masks and spectacles are also a good way to do it, especially if one doesn't like modding/console/cheating, however I prefer a Geralt without facial obstructions, so this was a great solution for me!

Works great! For US keyboard users, the console will be backtick/tilde key (left of 1, above tab)

Thanks! First playtrough, I like to touch mods as little as possible then, but saw this pop up in the guides in the steam overlay and it's a quick, purely visual fix. Thanks for the tip!
