Songs of Highgarden - Unique Ability

Receive a small Culture boost when a new Citizen is born and starting from the Medieval Era, receive a Highgarden Performer upon each era advancement.

Heavy Knight - Unique Unit

The Heavy Knight replaces the Knight. The Heavy Knight is much stronger than the Knight however it comes at the cost of reduced Movement. In addition, the Heavy Knight can generate Great Generals 50% faster than normal as well as receiving a +33% Combat Bonus when attacking in Open Terrain, and enemy units within two tiles of a Heavy Knight suffer -10% Combat Strength.

Highgarden Performer - Unique Unit

The Highgarden Performer replaces the Great Musician. In addition to the normal Great Musician abilities, the Highgarden Performer has 3 Movement and also gives a Combat Bonus to troops within two tiles of the Highgarden Performer.

Mace's ability Songs of Highgarden is a powerful ability that allows you to get Tourism early in the game, as well as rewarding you with Culture for growing your cities.

The fearsome unique unit Heavy Knight replaces the Knight and starts off with a good variety of abilities that allows it to generate Great Generals faster than usual, as well as dominating the open field - the Heavy Knight is also a good deterrent, enemies may want to attack them as they receive lower Combat Strength when adjacent to a Heavy Knight. They have lower movement which means that they cannot be used for rapid attacks, but when they do hit, they hit hard.

The morale-boosting unique unit, the Highgarden Performer replaces the Great Musician. The Highgarden Performer is a faster moving Great Musician, which means it can either move and spread Culture to foreign lands at a quicker rate, or the Highgarden Performer can utilise its morale-boosting Great General effect to increase the Combat Strength of nearby troops. This allows the Highgarden Performer to be used in whatever way the player wants to go, either rushing a fast Cultural Victory, or assisting with a strong-offensive warpath.

Mace is a flexible and powerful leader who receives lots of cultural bonuses that allow him to accumulate Social Policies and Tourism very quickly, but he also is well-suited towards a Domination Victory, as the Heavy Knights combined with Highgarden Performers prove to be a force to be reckoned with. Mace's Grassland bias should allow him to get some extra Food early on in the game to help grow, which in effect will increase his Culture output thanks to his UA. Going wide or going tall, either can work with Mace and his flexible abilities and units.

The mod features a fully-fledged civilization including: custom unit icons, custom border colours, properly tested AI, varied Mace-like diplomacy responses, custom music (including Light of the Seven), and much more. Enjoy the mod!
