Rainbow Hide'n Seek GUIDE

I thought I would make you guys a Guide how to play Hide and Seek in Rainbow 6 Siege! Keep in mind that you at least need about 8 players for this to really work and be alot of fun! (and of course every player must follow the few rules to play this!)

1. The Conditions

At first you will need a few things done:

• You need about 8 players, all of them must follow the rules I'll show you in this Guide
  
• Every player should understand the Basics of what i explain in this Guide ( Everyone should have read the Guide at least once or let someone explain it for him/her)
  
• The best way to play this is inside a custom game with all of the players being your Friends... However, if you find yourself in a casual match with people that you think might all play this game with you, you can probably also do this in a Casual Match (I will go over the best settings for a custom match for this game later on
  
• In a default game you need 5 players in the attacking team and 3 players in the defending team (although this is also possible with an even amount in each of the teams, but it might not be fair then anymore)
  
• None of the players use their ranged weapons (any primary, secondary weopons or range based special abilities like buck's) ONLY Melee Weapons are allowed
  
• The gamemode cannot be secure, since it would influence the game negativly... so you have to play in the Hostage or Bomb gamemode

2. The Game

Now I will explain to you how to actually PLAY Hide and Seek.

After all the conditions are met, you start the Game. While in the preparation phase, you cant really do anything usefull... The attackers might drive their drones to the location they are spawning, because they might use the drones later on. The defenders prepare the inside of the map with their allowed gadgets, other than that the defenders just get ready to meet up at a pre-determined location. After the prep phase is over, both of the Teams meet up at a pre-determined location, to set up the Game. From there on the Attackers get about 30 seconds (variable) to Hide on the INSIDE of the Map the best they can (Glitchy locations are of course not allowed). While the Attackers are trying to Hide, the Defenders just stare into the distance, waiting for the 30 seconds to be over. After the time is up, the Defending team have to give their best to locate and destroy kill each member of the enemy team (of course only with their melee attacks)
While the Seeking Phase, a few things are allowed and forbidden to do:
The seeking team:

• is not allowed to communicate with one another
  
• is allowed to use the cameras to maybe locate a hiding enemy (but scanning is NOT allowed)
  
• some of the defending characters are allowed to use their special abilities, some are NOT allowed (I will go over that later on)

The hiding team:

• "spawnkilling" one member the seeking team will lead to disqualification
  
• is allowed to communicate with one another
  
• is NOT allowed to actively attack the enemy team in ANY way
  
• is allowed to use their drones to locate enemy seekers (they ARE allowed to scan the enemys)
  
• As on the seeking team: some of the attacking characters are allowed to use their special abilities, some are NOT allowed (I will go over that later on)

The seeking team wins by killing every member of the enemy team
The hiding team wins by atleast 1 member of their team being alive at the end of the time limit (or by killing every member of the seeking team (although it is not allowed to actively attack them)

3. The Characters and their Gadgets

Here I will go over each Operator in each Team and if they are allowed to use their special ability or not. I will also tell you about other gadget and if they are allowed or not.
ATTACK OPERATORS

• Thatcher: Is allowed to use his special ability, although this might reveal his location.
  
• Sledge: Is allowed to use his special ability. HE IS ONE OF THE FEW CHARS THAT ARE ALLOWED TO ACTIVELY ATTACK THE ENEMY (only by melee attacking them with his Hammer)
  
• Ash: Is allowed to use her special ability. SHE IS ONE OF THE FEW CHARS THAT ARE ALLOWED TO ACTIVELY ATTACK THE ENEMY (only by shooting her charges on the enemys)
  
• Thermite: Is NOT allowed to use his special ability
  
• Twitch: Is allowed to use her special ability. SHE IS ONE OF THE FEW CHARS THAT ARE ALLOWED TO ACTIVELY ATTACK THE ENEMY (only with her twitch drone)
  
• Montagne: After some Tests and experiments I came to the conclusion that He should NOT be able to use his special ability.
  
• IQ: Is allowed to use her special ability.
  
• Blitz: Is allowed to use his special ability.
  
• Fuze: Is allowed to use his special ability. HE IS ONE OF THE FEW CHARS THAT ARE ALLOWED TO ACTIVELY ATTACK THE ENEMY (only by using his Fuze charge) PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU AND ALL OF YOUR TEAM IS INSIDE THE BUILDING, WHICH COULD LEAD TO KILL A TEAMMATE
  
• Glaz: Is allowed to use his special ability. (he is not allowed to shoot his weapon, but he is allowed to use his thermal vision to locate enemys better)
  
• Buck: Is NOT allowed to use his special ability
  
• Blackbeard: Is NOT allowed to use his special ability
  
• Capitao: Is allowed to use his special ability. HE IS ONE OF THE FEW CHARS THAT ARE ALLOWED TO ACTIVELY ATTACK THE ENEMY (only by using his crossbow) he is allowed to use both fire and gas bolts
  
• Hibana: Is allowed to use her special ability. SHE IS ONE OF THE FEW CHARS THAT ARE ALLOWED TO ACTIVELY ATTACK THE ENEMY (only by using her X-Kairos) it is very hard to harm an enemy with her X-Kairos, so using it for other purposes is recommended
  
• Jackal: Is allowed to use his special ability.

Now for other Gadgets the hiding team is allowed to use or not:

• Breaching Charge: not allowed
  
• Frag Grenade: not allowed
  
• Smoke Grenade: allowed
  
• Stun Grenade: allowed
  
• Claymore: allowed

DEFENSE OPERATORS

• Mute: Is allowed to use his special ability
  
• Smoke: Is NOT allowed to use his special ability
  
• Pulse: Is NOT allowed to use his special ability
  
• Castle: Is NOT allowed to use his special ability
  
• Rook: Is NOT allowed to use his special ability
  
• Doc: Is NOT allowed to use his special ability
  
• Bandit: Is allowed to use his special ability
  
• Jäger: Is allowed to use his special ability
  
• Kapkan: Is allowed to use his special ability
  
• Tachanka: Is NOT allowed to use his special ability
  
• Frost: Is allowed to use her special ability
  
• Valkyrie: Is allowed to use her special ability
  
• Caveira: Is allowed to use her special ability
  
• Echo: Is allowed to use his special ability (He is NOT allowed to stun tho)
  
• Mira: Is allowed to use her special ability

Now for other Gadgets the seeking team is allowed to use or not:

• Barbed Wire: allowed
  
• Barricade: allowed (only in prep phase)
  
• Deployable Shield: not allowed
  
• Nitro Cell: not allowed
  
• impact grenade: not allowed
  
• Reinforcements: allowed

4. Custom Game Settings

• Map: Every Map is possible, although I would not recommend playing on House, since the map is too small to hide really good
  
• Time of the Day: variable
  
• Hud settings: Normal
  
• Gamemode: Hostage or Bomb, since secure would reveal the location of people when they are walking through the room
  
• Number of Rounds: variable
  
• Attacker/Defender Role swap: variable
  
• Overtime Rounds: variable
  
• Overtime score Difference: variable
  
• Overtime Role Change: variable
  
• Objective Rotation Parameter: variable (shouldn't matter according to @ThetaMax (thx to @ThetaMax))
  
• Attacker unique spawn: variable
  
• Damage Handicap: variable but I recommend 100
  
• Friendly Fire Damage: variable
  
• Injured: variable
  
• Sprint: On
  
• Lean: On
  
• Death Replay: variable
  
• Preparation Phase Duration: variable but I'd recommend 60 seconds
  
• Action Phase Duration: 300+ seconds I'd recommend 420 seconds
