How to configure controllers, wheels, pedals

Troubleshooting

If your controller is not working at all in KRP, go to Steam -> Settings -> Controller -> General Controller Settings and check if your controller is detected.
If it is, then please make sure that "Generic gamepad configuration support" is unchecked.

Basic Setup

1. Click Calibration in the Input1 tab of the Settings Menu
   
2. Check which controller is selected at the top of the calibration screen
   
3. Move this controller to its extents
   
4. If you have other controllers connected as a seperate device, select it from the dropdown menu at the top of the calibration screen
   
5. Repeat from 3) until all controllers have been calibrated.
   
6. Now assign controls by clicking an assignment and moving the desired control.

You can see axis responses on the bottom-right of the Input1 screen.
If desired you can fine-tune each axis using the Advanced section. Use the dropdown to select different axis.

Advanced Setup

• In the steering wheel profiler, disable the centering spring and damping, or at least let the software override them.
  
• Take note of the rotation ( the suggested value is 180 ).
  
• In Kart Racing Pro -> Settings -> Input -> Calibration, calibrate the steering wheel rotating it from lock to lock, and then leave it perfectly centered before pressing "Ok".
  
• Click on the right of Controls -> Steer and steer LEFT to assign the control.
  
• Under Advanced -> Steer, set deadzone to 0, linearity to 100 and leave smooth unchecked.
  
• Enable force feedback and set strength to 100%, deadzone to 0% and linearity to 100%
  
• Enable wheel rotation and set it directly or use the wizard. In both cases the value should match the rotation set in the profiler.
  
• If you are experiencing vibration on straights, please try increasing force feedback deadzone in steps of 5. This shouldn't be needed on the Logitech G25 and G27.
  
• If you feel the force in the center is a bit weak, you can try lowering the force feedback linearity.
