What is it?
Ragdoll Mover is a tool that allows you to move ragdolls in a similar way to 3D programs. This also includes IK chains.

Why should I use it?
If you are fine with physgun, then maybe you don't need to use this. But here's a few key features of why you might want to use this in certain situations:
-You can move ragdolls without limitations from the ragdoll physics; you can twist the ragdoll's head upside down without problems.
-When you rotate a bone, it's child bones will rotate with it. So you can rotate the ragdoll's arm like you've welded the lower arm and hand to the upper arm. (Except, as mentioned, without physical limitations.)
-By moving the ragdoll's root bone (usually the pelvis), you can move the entire ragdoll like it's a statue!
-Contrary to bones moving relatively to their parent bones, there's IK chains. IK chains are used to keep certain bones in an exact position while moving, for example, the rest of the body. This is most commonly used with legs and arms.

I'm still confused
Then watch the video! It might clear things up.

Are you going to keep updating this?
Current version of the tool seems to be doing most of the things I'd like it to do, but in case of any bugs showing up, those would be fixed up.

If any bugs occur, report them here.

Or, you can report them here: https://github.com/Winded/RagdollMover/issues

There's also a possibility to translate Ragdoll Mover through GMod's resource files, in case if you'd like to help translate the tool in your language, you can help! You can fork ragdoll mover github repo and then add translations there. If you submit a pull request, write either here or contact PenolAkushari to check and update it to the workshop.

i just slapped on a fix for that, on the same github branch as previous one. generally that isn't the best practice for me to do though. well, in either case, you can try it out from there before i put it on workshop

does it use workshop version of advanced cameras, by neatnit?

Small issue.
I like to pose and have a camera out. Use to work fine, but after this recent update it seems to create Errors. (Advanced Camera Tool)
While using the Camera (viewing model) I use to be able to also move the ragdoll, see the XYZ and such. Now when I switch to camera view, I get Errors and the xyz dont appear. Real shame.
"GetviewOffset" I believe.
Awesome work! I've been bouncing between SFM & Gmod animation n this makes Gmod animation much much more easier!

i've fixed that issue, though i was thinking to wait a bit before putting it on workshop, as perhaps some more issues would be found that could be fixed. feel free to try it out, though, if you know how to install local addons https://github.com/penolakushari/RagdollMover/tree/advmergefix

yeah it's a mess up on my part, i think i almost got a fix for it, just gotta make sure it won't mess up somehting else, as the whole thing with gizmo getting proper angles to match bone movements is quite a mess

It was attached to head, and I tried to same thing without any other addon but still happens
PenolAkushari  [autor] hace 15 horas
ok i think i found the issue with that. gonna look into the fix in the following days or so, gonna hope someone does report in the meantime whether the whole invisible gizmos bug happens with or without addons, for whoever it did happen, as i am quite curious what could be the cause with that

was it attached to some bone? i think there can be issues like that when some bonemerged props don't have bones set as parents, i thought i did make it work but apparently either i didn't, or it stopped working after some update, i can't quite recall

I try to move bone merged prop that used advanced bonemerge tool, but it move/rotate/scale perferctly differently than gizmo.
