Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 Save File

This "guide" contains various saves locations in the one save file available for this game and you can also unlock an achievement or two.

So, apparently aside from the fact that this game is now extremely rare to acquire, a usable save file is also just as rare as most of the internet have saves for the original non-steam game.

The odds are that most people that actually own this game in their library already completed the game (and won't require this at all) and have the one or two achievements unlocked that can also be unlocked via this save file.

About This "Guide and Save"

Aside from the fact that this is not really an achievement save or guide (because its main purpose is to actually have a save game for people to use to start hard mode on with all costumes unlocked) some of you may ask "Why not all of the achievements!?!?!" (or not).

I feel that everyone that owns this game should at least complete it once. An most of the achievements can be unlocked through the natural means of just playing. Which you can do on hard with this save

As for those stupid Arcade and multiplayer achievements, I think it is really stupid to lock achievements behind multiplayer, like in this case, 100 arcade wins and 25 levels with 3 other players ?!?!

Ultimately this might be a very useless save file as most of the save slots in the file is fairly useless for most people... probably.

With that being said, if anyone has a save file type of thing for achievements and is willing to share it, I am more than happy to update this "guide" by adding your file with all of the explanations and of course giving credit.

3 or 4 Achievements

The 2 or 3 Achievements that I know will unlock

• Doppelganger - Doom must speak with himself
  
• Doomed Ending - Defeat Doom
  
• Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Unlock Nick Fury
  
• Dress for Success - Unlock All Hero Costumes

Now whether any other achievements will unlock, I really don't know because there is no way for me to test it. But I really do hope that other stuff also unlocks when you use it.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS ALSO UNLOCK SO THAT I CAN UPDATE THE GUIDE. THANK YOU!!!

You can also use the cheat engine table (see section below) to help get gold in all of the simulator discs and unlock that achievement as well. There is a small amount still left that i did not get gold on

What follows is the actualy folder you can download and if you want to make yourself Max level or give yourself Max coins.... or if you really want to give yourself infinite health and energy you can use the cheat engine table that I provide in the download folder. Just note I am not going to advise you on how to use cheat engine, google is your friend :-)

Cheat Engine

NEVER HAVE CHEAT ENGINE OPEN WITH MULTIPLAYER GAMES, IT MIGHT GET YOU BANNED

1. Download[www.cheatengine.org]Cheat Engine
   
   
2. Use the cheat engine table in the download folder. The table is a combination some of tables I found on the Fearless Revolution forums[fearlessrevolution.com] and some other random place that I can't remember and I also added 1 or 2 things.
   
   With the table you can:
   
   • Freeze each hero's health
     
   • Freeze each hero's energy
     
   • Freeze your coins
     
   • Change your coin amount
     
   • Reset your portal timer seconds
     
   • Change your points in simulator discs
     
   • Change your XP
     
   • Give yourself Max skillpoints

How To Use The Save File

If you missed the link to the save folder above, here it is again:

Please read through his before using the save:

1. The save location for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 is: Install Directory of the game\SaveDir
   
   
2. Copy the game.sav file to the SaveDir folder.
   
   
3. Backup your own saves however you deem fit. If you lose your save because you replaced it with mine…. That is on you buddy.
   
   
4. Disable steam cloud saves, just in case it might cause problems with your own and my save. Remember to turn it back on when using your own save again)
   
   
5. Because of the stupid decision they made to only have 1 save file with 10 save slots for this game, I could not make a save for each achievement (which was my initial plan).

It is also important to take note the save file consists of 10 save slots that has the playtime and location as it's name. So just look at the number in the "guide" and select the same number in the game.

Saves With Achievements

Here are the saves that can score you 1 or 2 achievements

Doppelgänger & Doomed Ending

31:43 Doom (Normal)

A save point before the fight with Doom. Once you defeat him you will unlock Doomed Ending

31:49 Doom (Normal)

Exactly the same save is with the previous one but now doom is in the team and you will get the Doppelgänger Achievement if you go into the fight with him and once you defeat him you should also get Doomed Ending. I suggest using this save file to unlock both achievements at once

Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Once doom is defeated (in one of the two save before Doom's fight) you will also get the Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. achievement

Dressed For Success

33:16 Stark (Normal)

You only have to defeat 1 more enemy with the human torch to unlock the Dress For Success achievement.

I even made it easy for you (it took some time though). Go through the portal, punch a bot , profit?





This save is also after completing the game and it is the same save I used to start hard mode, you can do the same if you want to.

You can also use this save to get gold on all simulations the achievement (I still need to do it but i am considering whether I should cheat to do the few I don't have gold on)

Hard Mode Saves

There are 3 save at the beginning of Act 1

00:10 Heli (Hard)

First save point in hard mode after you Defeat Scorpion. You can use this save to play through the game if you want and unlock all of the boss fight achievements naturally

The other 2 hard save is what I am currently busy with and will hopefully one day finish. Luckily there is another guide with a save if you really want the hard completion achievement as well

Other Saves

Here are some other random save slots during Act 5

30:50 Doomstark (Normal)

Before going to Castle doom for the first time in Act 5

31:05 Doom (Normal)

A save point whilst collecting the Hands of Doom before facing Dark Cap and Colossus

31:12 Doom (Normal)

A save point whilst collecting the Armor of Doom before facing Dark Cyclops and Psylocke

31:36 Doom (Normal)

A save point whilst collecting the Face of Doom before facing Dark Thor and Spider-Man
