Foreword

Devious Desires is a mod focused around being used in and enhancing RP. To do this it offers you a large (and expanding) amount of animations. Along with a growing list of other tools to give you far greater control over your character, ranging from adjusting and fine-tuning your characters position for alignment with their surroundings to allowing them to convey emotions more believably with facial expressions, or even more explicit interactions between characters.

Features
  • Devious Desires Menu, featuring 950+ animations (Shift+H to open)

  • Various features for navigating and filtering the large amount of animations and emotes

  • Animation layering, combine emotes with arm poses and facial expressions

  • Camera controls, that allow you to customize and adapt your view however needed, including spectating others around you

  • Character controls to adjust position and rotation, helping you line up with other characters or placables

  • Full body controls, allowing you to adjust every bone during animations and poses for unlimited possibilities

  • Save adjustments as new sets of animations, even for multiple actors at a time and share them with others

  • Forced (animation) system to apply not only animations but the various other controls to other players or thralls

  • Partner Scenes, play paired animations and have them synced with up to 5 other participants

  • Scene Manager, allows you to easily rearrange a scene and swap participant's positions

  • Carry Scenes, pick up friends (or foes) with various different styles and carry them wherever you want

  • Various Restraints to bind other characters with, including various accompanying mechanics and systems

  • In-depth 'Dong' system, with customization, animations, physics and controls that are integrated to be usable in and out of Scenes

  • Thorough thrall support for most features that are also available to players, including Partner Scenes

  • Consent Settings, allowing you to set who or when someone else can use controls

  • Admin Settings, allowing you to enable or disable explicit content based on preference

  • Various fixes to bugs otherwise present in the game, along with other quality of life features and settings that improve handling animations


Plans
These are tentative and always subject to change, but here's a snippet of what is on my roadmap. I don't like to make promises I can't guarantee will be kept, but still wanted to give people an idea of where things may head with future updates.

-Expand functionality of existing features
-Hand controls/animations, and the ability to save poses and positions directly created in-game
-Expand functionality and animation based system for restraints and items
-Apply and expand carry system for use in circumstances other than player to player interactions
-Polish and bug fixes (double duh)

Known incompatible mods:

Generally load order does not matter for Devious Desires, but if another mod changes the same (aforementioned) base game files, it is important that Devious Desires is loaded -after- them. Depending on what and why the conflicting mod makes changes to them, there may be loss in functionality for it.

Has an accidental override of the skeleton, load Devious Desires after this mod
-IMMERSE RP: Placables Decor
Always load Devious Desires AFTER this one. (Disables a couple of sitting emotes in IMMERSE RP: Placables Decor, but works fine apart from that.)
-Old Roll - Classic Dodge (Overwrites ab_human_male for changes in dodge functionality, incompatible)

Alters the original Accessory API, making its equip and unequip events leave stuck visuals behind for Restraint Accessories

At first the new point of action seamed a bit much, but after repuppeting 20 plus separate posed positions, The changes needed went very fast. Turn off pose motions with the upper left action indicator before trying to adjust. The gizmos are a bit blinding at times, but many scale by viewing distance. Camera position really changes the view of the gizmos, I find now I float around a work in progress much more. It actually helps in that every angle get viewed before completion. Sliders had nowhere near the adjustability.

I really don't like the new puppeteer. It's so much harder to use than the last one. I can't figure it out. And the 'shperes' you're supposed to get to move your person.. I have nothing like that when I chose to edit. I really miss the old one already!!

Hmmm, ever since the patch on the new update, I can't seem to use the character editor to change positions of limbs or even see the bone outline anymore. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what.

Ricochet, just use the Character editor, grab one of the main brown spheres and switch between rotate/position with middle mouse button. You'll be able to move models just like in Blender.

This new update is amazing. Now Goonar the Barbarian can do whatever he wants!

So with this new puppeteeer menu, how do you adjust your height and width to your partner? You can adjust the camera but I see no way to adjust your character and your partner. We had this ability before this update and now it's gone. This is a critical function to ERP.

After your update, Fatality Animations have stopped working. I've isolated the problem to this mod. The fatality HP/Stamina bonus still apply, but the animation does not activate post September 23rd update.

@raider oh for poses its great. Just worried it doesn't "enhance RP" but more slow it to a crawl when you need some much effort to adjust a simple head or arm placement when pairing emotes with bigger players for example.

The old system felt more focused on quick rp emotes while this feels like a sidegrade to second life style screenshot posing
