Preparations
To start installing mods, you will first have to install BaseMod, which you can find here [www.nexusmods.com] (You need to have a nexus account to download it)
Make sure you have the latest version of game itself (1.0.2.13c at time of writing this)

Installing BaseMod
Open the game's root folder (steam/steamapps/common/LobotomyCorp) and then into LobotomyCorp_Data.
After that drop the unarchived BaseMod in this current folder (with replacement as paste setting)
If you did everything correctly your LobotomyCorp_Data folder should look like this:
And your Managed folder like this:
Now we can get to mod installin'
Installing mods
Now, open the BaseMods folder in LobotomyCorp_Data.
After that open up the archive of the mod you've downloaded, transfer the contents into the BaseMods folder.
IMPORTANT: If your mod doesn't come with the dedicated folder, the archive contents will look like this:
If thats the case, make a new folder wtih any name and drop the contents inside
Now the mod should work correctly

And you should be done. Easy as.

The mod manager works for me.

I personally hate the browser function as well, I still download whatever I want manually from nexus mods and drop it in the local folder. The problem is that the mod manager has a newer version of basemod that you need to run some mods, so if you don't use it they could bug out.

Don't listen to him, the mod manager is trash. You can't download anything through it. All it does is have a worse interface than nexusmod, and it only sends you to the nexusmod page in your browser for you to do it yourself anyways. There is zero benefits to using that adobe flash looking interface for anything when basemod already does the same job but better.

This is outdated, you don't need to manually install basemod anymore. There's a mod manager that does everything for you, you can search and download mods directly through it.

It also has a github. The nexusmods page should have all the info you need, but if you have trouble, you can ask the discord at https://discord.gg/jVk6gSH8CN
