For over a year, Figment had been lost in my Steam library. Now that I found it again, I decided to give the game I was eager to play a year ago a try.

...and I must say it was a complete letdown. Despite the promising concept and potential for an engaging experience, the game fails on multiple levels, leaving players feeling frustrated and unsatisfied.

The combat system, at least for me, is really not it. You cannot hit the "neck" of the creatures, even though they are right in front of you. All you have to do is walk up/down or left/right to avoid their attacks and then hit them. For the first twenty minutes, it was really tiring.
Visually, Figment may have a unique art style, but it quickly becomes repetitive and uninspiring. The environments lack variety and feel monotonous, while the character designs lack creativity and fail to leave a lasting impression. Even the soundtrack, which is meant to enhance the experience, fails to make an impact, blending into the background and becoming forgettable.
Additionally, the ad to the sequel that scared the sh*t out of me when I tried exiting the game. My headsets volume is set low already and I had turned the volume of Figment down to 5 before playing. That was not nearly enough to keep the ads volume down. It was still really loud and surprised me when I just tried having a relaxing evening playing a game.

The thought of playing this game pleased me and I kept it unplayed to a certain day where I knew I could just sit around and play it all day. Games such as this one, for example Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley are really fun to me after all.
Though, it needed only 30 minutes of playtime for me to be this disappointed.

First of all, the game is way too laggy. Even after I set all the graphics on lowest and some options to "off", it won't run perfectly fine.
Then, the controls are way too hard to get used to. There is way too many controls as well. The inventory is far way too on the right on the keyboard and there is no way for me to reach it without moving my hands from the WASD spot. Scrolling also happens to be the complete opposite than from any game I have ever played. When I scroll up, it scrolls to the left in the inventory and not to the right.
I didn't really need to start off with the tutorial. Nothing was explained to me after all. I did not get past the "create your first crop" part. I just couldn't figure out how it worked and I kept on pressing all buttons on my keyboard and mouse.
The texts from the quests on the right sometimes were not even on the screen and thus not readable.

I may be playing again when it is out of Early Access.

hit my table for the first time ever because of a maw, probably will do the same because of the sodafish. caught a dragon though, i like dragons :)
10/10 recommend.

9/10, cuz achievements are broken and cant escape the game by alt + f4 :(

played for 2 hours with 2 friends and one of them didn't win once.
