First of all, I would like to briefly talk about the story of the game. I won't go into too much detail because Kingdom Come: Deliverence is a production based entirely on its story. First of all, our production, which is in the RPG genre, does not have a character creation screen. The production, in which we play a villager named Henry, is about the experiences of our character, who works as a blacksmith with his father. Henry, who has a bad incident at the beginning of the game, suddenly finds himself alone and helpless. Henry, who improves both his social status and himself as a result of the tasks we do, manages to make himself loved, although not as much as Geralt. Likewise, the other main characters in the game have been prepared with great care, and both their characters and models do not grin. Warhorse has succeeded in passing the class in this sense.

The way the story works, on the other hand, proceeds as we are used to from classic RPGs. Missions go there, do this, come back on. However, interestingly, there are almost no missions such as cut and collect, which we are used to from other RPGs. The majority of the missions in the game are based on a solid story and are almost entirely dialogue. This is exactly where Kingdom Come: Deliverence is strongest. But we also have a problem. Although Kingdom Come: Deliverence promises realism to the player, just a realistic atmosphere and beautifully crafted dialogues may not be enough. We gamers are always action-loving people who want it without overdoing it. Unfortunately, that's Kingdom Come: Deliverence.

Speaking of action, I also want to enter the game's combat system. First of all, it is very obvious that the producers are trying to apply the search for realism in the combat system. There is a system that allows you to swing the sword or weapon from anywhere, which will be familiar to players who play For Honor. You can swing your weapon from 6 different areas in total, so you witness a relatively realistic combat system. However, there is an important situation here. Although the filmmakers' search for realism seems to be successful on paper, I can say that it was not very successful due to the sluggishness and lack of fluidity of the animations. During the fight, you are constantly faced with a complex system that you cannot understand exactly what you are doing. Especially if you have multiple enemies, the combat system turns into complete chaos.

After putting the combat system aside, let's get into the RPG elements of the game. First of all, there are different options and abilities in the game such as power, agility, endurance, charisma. However, when you level up these abilities, you can level up and improve them not by the skill points you earn, but by how much you use them. For example, as you use a sword, your sword skills level up and you can gain different abilities. Likewise, your speaking ability increases as you speak, so it affects the person in front of you more and you can solve some problems just by talking. In this respect, the game gave me the feeling of Fallout, I can say that there are very few games that can give that feeling.

The equipment in the game, on the other hand, works a little differently than we can see in an RPG game. While the armors you wear in classic RPG games directly affect your total armor and reduce the incoming damage, the armors that cover different parts of your body in Kingdom Come can only affect the damage you take to those areas. For example, with a shoulder strap you can wear on your shoulder, you can reduce the damage of attacks on that area, and even block them completely according to the quality of your armor. That's one of the beautiful aspects of Kingdom Come. Also, while we are talking about armors, I would like to share a small detail with you. The armors you wear in the game not only increase the strength of your character, but also increase your social status. For example, when you wear shabby dirty clothes, NPCs do not shake you at all, so to speak, but when you go to your side with shiny armor, they can attract Sir and Sir Knight immediately. This detail is really well thought out.

Now comes the place where Kingdom Come: Deliverence has had the most success. The partition design, or the map. Let me state first of all. The map of the game is not very big. But. But it really has one of the most realistic, eye-pleasing designs I've ever seen in a video game. Its slopes, forests, villages, roads, castles are so beautifully designed and placed that I have sat and watched the environment many times over. You can even add volumetric fog to the game with a mod you can download on the PC platform, so you can make the landscapes twice as beautiful.

While we're talking about graphics, let's get into detail. First of all, our game was made with Crytek's famous engine CryEngine. We all know the visual power of the engine, but so are the optimization problems. Although Kingdom Come: Deliverence isn't doing great visually, it has one of the most successful graphics we've seen in recent times. I can say that Warhorse has done wonders, especially in the forests. Lighting, high-level effects used, of which the real-time global illumination technique comes first, I can say that thanks to this technique, especially interior lighting has made our mouths water. However, it should be noted that this technique is only active on the PC platform.

On the sound side, the production has done a good job in character voiceovers. Sword shield effects and ambient sounds are also very successful. Music, on the other hand, erases the rust of your ears with works unique to the region that reflect the period. Even if there are minor problems, they do not cause major problems. I can say that Warhorse is successful both visually and audibly.

Long story short, Kingdom Come: Deliverence has started to be considered by the players as the new Skyrim. Of course, when you look professionally, there are quite a lot of points that can be understood as the hand of an independent studio. Errors, optimization problems, cumbersome and troublesome combat system stand out as minus points. However, the environment, graphics, story, story processing, character development, and realism are the places that dominate. Personally, I can say that it was one of the games that I had the most difficulty in giving points. However, if we take into account the modding nature of the game, Kingdom Come has been a game that could improve over the years, just like Skyrim and Mount & Blade. Considering the affordable price for the PC platform, I can definitely recommend it.
