Deep Rock Galactic is not the type of game that I would often play, which is exactly why I'm blown away that it has within days reached the level and passion I have reserved for games I've played for years.
DRG has somehow managed to make the perfect community free from toxicity that is incredibly easy to join and just drown yourself in. You can tell that DRG was a form of passion project because of how much thought and care was placed into the game and that is clearly evident with how this game uses Season Passes.
As I'm sure you know, games have become over saturated with Season Passes that hide cosmetic items behind a form of paywall for mere access to gaining said items based upon how much of the game you play during the season, usually if you fail to complete a season you fail to receive the cosmetics attached and will never get another chance to claim your missed items. DRG does something completely different that SHOULD be held as the standard for ALL games if they introduce a Season Pass. DRG's Season Passes are FREE, no pay wall; beyond this already amazing feature all cosmetics from previous seasons that people may have missed out on will be placed in normal cosmetic loot boxes that you can find whilst playing the game FOREVER. You never have to worry about forcing yourself to play the game or do objectives you don't want to do in fear you'll miss out on content you paid for because A) the Season Pass is free and B) The cosmetics never go away!
Honestly, I could go on for literal hours explaining why DRG is one of my favorite games but, instead I'm going to leave it off with something you'll hopefully come to understand upon booting up DRG for the first and future times.
