Counter Strike: Global Offensive (also known as CSGO) is a massively multiplayer platform in which you can derive from many skills and processes that are inexplicably and undoubtedly essential to a person’s life. These skills that are indoctrinated through the playing of CSGO are: logical and economical thinking, enhanced cognitive processes and proficient communication and social skills. These skills, all given to the player for only $10.04 USD are abilities that will remain in the player’s intellectual arsenal for the rest of his or hers life.
Firstly, let me further explain the purpose of how CSGO is a game that dramatically develops a player’s logical and economic thinking. A common misconception about CSGO is that it is a mindless virtual game that doesn’t teach anybody, anything. This misconception is far from correct. CSGO is a game that requires much skill to master and requires a great amount of intellectual power. Eco-buying is a process in which you buy certain guns with the virtual money earned throughout the course of playing the game that are inexpensive but also effective in which you may be able to win a round even with cheap items. Eco-buying also includes the notion of how certain player in a team may have surplus money and therefore is able to buy his teammates commodities in the game when they don’t have sufficient money. Thus, CSGO is very effective in teaching the player about logical thinking and economy.
In addition to the logical benefits of playing CSGO, players can also develop and enrich their cognitive abilities throughout the course of their life in the game. CSGO teaches you how to make quick and rational decisions in a short amount of time and how to react to stimulus faster and more effectively. Imagine yourself walking across the road and you see a car heading towards a child at top speeds on the same road. Without CSGO, you are most likely unable to save the child from the car as your ability to think and rationalize quickly is not fully developed. However, if you had played CSGO, your chances of saving the child’s life drastically increase as throughout your CSGO career, you have advanced your cognitive processes exponentially by making mistakes in the game so in real life, you don’t make the same mistakes.
Finally, to conclude the extensive list of strengths gained from playing CSGO, the final and maybe most important benefit of playing CSGO is communication. Communication is a skill that William Phan is commonly scolded for as he is not able to efficiently perform it. However if he plays CSGO, he is able to much more successfully communicate articulately and elegantly as CSGO relies heavily on communication. CSGO is a team game, not an individual game and it is impossible to wins games by yourself in CSGO and therefore communication is essential and a skill that is required.
Don’t you see the resemblance between CSGO and real life? CSGO requires communication, logical thinking and cognitive expertise and funnily enough, real life is also a platform in which, communication, logical thinking and cognitive expertise is essential. Therefore CSGO is a very beneficial game in which William Phan should be allowed to play as he will receive the benefits of not only entertainment but life skills that will last with him forever.
