This game has cute cats to find, and they make cute little meows when you click on them. 11/10, great game.

Valve got rid of being able to play bot matches with friends--which was the reason I played CS:GO to begin with. CS2 only offers competitive modes against players while in a lobby with friends, which is a very frustrating experience.

Took me a bit to get into Rimworld, but once I got hooked, I got hooked.

Once in a blue moon, there will be a game that absolutely draws me in and is nearly impossible to put down.

Risk of Rain 2 is the most recent addition to this list.

In short, this game is awesome.

The music and design is wonderful. Ever present in the background (or foreground), it adds beautiful vistas and ambiance for you to play (and die) in.

Each Survivor plays differently, and there's a flavor of monster slaying for everyone. The items you find over the course of a game can turn your average blasty dude into a godlike slaying machine.

The enemies and bosses are extremely varied, requiring different strategies of "kill em till they're dead". Some are easier to deal with than others, but every one of them can and WILL kill you. Unlike Darkest Dungeon, overconfidence isn't a slow and insidious killer--you're always one Brass Contraption or Lesser Wisp away from death.

The gameplay is straightforward. Kill monsters, get items, activate teleporter, kill boss, go through teleporter. There's one enemy in Risk of Rain 2 that you cannot kill, and one that will EVENTUALLY kill you if you're not paying attention.

Time.

The enemies get harder the longer your run takes. If you spend 20 minutes on Stage 1, you're going to have a hard time on subsequent stages. This forces you to play fast, constantly trading off the decision of farming a stage versus going through the teleporter as quickly as possible. Finding that balance takes time and skill.

Finally, multiplayer. I haven't tried queuing up with randoms, but if you've got some friends who are willing to play with you, it's even better than playing solo. So long as you have a (mostly) even distribution of items, y'all will have a great time.

Risk of Rain 2 is great. If it's on sale, get it--no questions asked. In my opinion, it's worth full price. I highly, highly recommend this game!
