Early Access Review
It is clear this game is in early access. HOWEVER, any fan of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. should appreciate the vision behind it. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this game when I started playing it. Especially because the SINGLE dev has been working on it while retaining a full time job. It IS NOT a copy of the other low-poly zombie survival games out there and is instead unique in it's own aspects. My favorite thing that sets it apart is the inventory system. It is basic, but realistic. No more shoving 200 backpacks inside of each other. There is also a really nice encumbrance system that lets you carry enough loot to feel rewarding, but not too much to seem absolutely absurd. Another worthy mention that makes it different is the faction system. Although it is not completely fleshed out, you do have to work towards increasing your reputation with what is there currently. This alone allows for at least some replayability which is always a good thing. A variety of quests and POIs offer plenty to do and explore. Top that off with gear/weapon progression and a wide range of options to choose from and I'd say you have a solid foundation. At the time of this review I still haven't found all of them either. Can't wait to see future updates and what will be added next. Any dev as active as RedDot is can take my money all day!

Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys sim/management games! Who hasn't dreamt of running their own tavern? I was immediately hooked and when I started progressing through the game I couldn't close out of it. In my opinion, it offers an extremely satisfying research tree and event progression that is even coupled with quests to unlock bigger and better upgrades. It all flows really well together and feels very rewarding. Staff have skill trees, traits, and a mood system. Food levels up with amount served which raises your rating and draws in more customers of royalty. Hire adventurers to get rare resources used for parties and royal ceremonies. Budget your supplies and employee wages to maximize profits or prioritize customer and staff happiness. Manage employee tasks, floors served, etc. Design intricate hotel rooms that have requirements for higher ratings which earn you more income. Be prepared for hazards such as fires which have a higher chance to occur when using cheaper supplies. Reach a certain prestige by buying higher end decorations to be able to host the prince and eventually, the king and queen. All of this and I'm still probably missing quite a few things you can truly do in this game. Unlimited potential for game design, functionality, and creativity. Can't wait to see what future updates introduce!

Early Access Review
I'll try to write an honest and in depth review without spoiling the many things this game has to offer. Let me start by saying this game is developed by a single person. A SINGLE PERSON. I have seen more dedication and commitment to community from this single dev, than many AAA teams. Updates are constantly pushed out, bugs or major problems are squashed almost instantly, and he is VERY responsive and active in the community. I didn't really know what to expect coming into this game, but I love survival games of all types and wanted to give it a try. You can tell by my hours I've gotten my monies worth AND I still have so much to do. That's probably what surprised me the most, is that even being this early into development, there is tons to keep you busy. Base building is phenomenal and only getting better. Combat isn't as smooth as it could be, but it still feels natural and is constantly getting worked on. Crafting feels good and has a nice balance of "this cost too much or too little". You get your worth out of farming materials. Map somehow feels pretty big despite it being small compared to other games (theres already a WAY bigger one planned). One run around the whole map takes about a full day/night cycle if not a little more, so it feels great. Activities are awesome and have very cool concepts behind them. MANY decorations to find for your base and TONS of collectibles that have pop culture/movie/gaming references which you can also display. It seems every time I go out, I find something new I haven't seen before and that definitely keeps me coming back for more. Gotta collect 'em all! If I had to compare it to anything, it would probably be DayZ. Many people, including myself, have referred to it as the low poly version. Personally, I could never get into DayZ, but this game is a really chill rendition of it that scratches that itch to play. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves zombie or survival games. If you are having trouble with the price, just remember everything I said above and that you are supporting a dev who cares. That gets my vote any day of the week!
