when i say i am lonely
i don't mean i need more friends

i am lonely in a way that no amount of people can fix
Loneliness meets me in rooms crowded with voices
and streets flooded with footsteps

You take my hand and loneliness squeezes in the gap where i end and you begin
I don't think loneliness is a lack of company
because i am not alone

it's just that i'm the only one who knows exactly how it feels
to live inside my head and inhabit my bones

I am lonely in the way i will spend forever being me
and no one else know's exactly what that means

When i say that i'm lonely
it is not a state of being alone

It's being trapped inside my body when it doesn't feel like home.

a journey into a world i never knew existed

Losing you would be unimaginable like being plunged back into darkness, it would leave a void so profound i doubt i could ever find my way back.
