Great game

First guilty gear game / semi experienced fighting game player. Love it so far. The system mechanics (mainly roman cancels) are a lot of fun and allow for expression, something you don't see in too many fighting games these days. Amazing rollback netcode just don't expect to be able to play in 200+ ping without rollbacks (obviously). All the characters feels interesting in their own way and I have no qualms with the character designs outside of certain balance decisions which are obviously subject to change. In terms of cons... The lobby system. It's not great. I like the idea of having a social aspect in a fighting game but they really missed the mark here. AFAIK the server that hosts the lobby and anything involving online is located in Japan. There is no NA or EU servers. This means long connecting times when connecting to any online function (loading the game up, replays (albeit these aren't as bad), viewing other people's profile's, and extremely desync'd avatars in the lobbies. This won't affect the quality of play between two players as long as they're within a playable distance of each other IRL since it is p2p. For the last con.. No in game frame data. Some might not care about this but it's definitely something I expect all modern fighting games to have these days. TLDR:

Games fantastic. Perfect for new fighting game players to take a chance on and enough depth for vets to enjoy as well. Great overall character design. Slow load times due to server being in Japan. AMAZING NETCODE. No in game frame data but dustloopwiki is a great source for information regarding data.
