Well when I last wrote my review at 500 odd hours played I called it a dumpster fire but something still kinda worth playing. . . now that 4700 hours I can say with definitive fact this game is a dumpster fire that isn't worth playing.

My god has Gaijin gotten lazy af. Every update is just copy and paste, remember the joke that every nation would have a sherman variant, well now every tech tree needs a zsu-23-4, zsu-57-2 and a F-16. I remember when each update had lots of original and cool vehicles at all battle ratings and eras. Now? Well guess what we are adding another f-16 variant for 3 updates in a row. Like okay it's cool we are getting more modern aircraft, but for the love of god the whole update doesn't have to consist of content only for modern jets. Like at least space that stuff with updates that dedicate to vehicles from the cold war and WW2 era, but no instead you space it with the same old copy and freaking paste crap.

Oh and the events have also been butchered to absolute trash. Like yh the old events were tough af but at least you got like 6 different, completely original vehicles. . . nowadays you have to do the same amount of grinding for only 1 vehicle, and that vehicle isn't even that cool or original. Old event vehicles: IS-7, AGS, Object 279. Nowadays: Object 292, they copy and pasted a T-80 chassis with a 152mm on top, PLZ83-130, Another Jaguar, a Yak-3 and another Bayern class battleship. . . there's no originality.

Remember when premiums were unique, well nowadays it's just a tech tree MBT with no changing characteristics with a freaking camo net placed on it. . . now pay £60 for it. Oh and the battle pass, that had cool stuff, now. . . King tiger for sweden (just give us the Kranvagn), Centurion mk.2 (*yawn* there is like 10 or so centurions already in game). I can think of like 5 cool and original vehicles that can come as battle pass or event vehicles.

Then lets get to the maps. I remember when you could find a cool yet difficult to get to spot on a map and it being kind of busted, or when you get a map where you can flank. Nowadays 50% of maps are already off borders and force you to return to the map and they are making each map just hold W and pray. New maps are unoriginal and boring and make you go down like 3 paths to have a slug fest. Oh and also when they take old maps that were actually good and they decide to "re-balance" them even though they were already perfect and turn them into basically an open field where you get cross sniped 10 seconds into a match. I remember when Middle East had the two sniping spots, one for each side. Nowadays they removed the one for left side spawn, the sniping spot in the top of the map and butchered the middle position, it's now just a husk of it's former self.

It's a shame really. Watching a game you enjoy slowly die off due to greed and un-originality. I think it's time for Gaijin to receive another wake up call from the community but instead of them trying to make the grind last 30 odd years to get a single rank 4 vehicle, this time we ask for some freaking originality and for them to stop taking whats already bearable for us away.

I put this now, they're trying to get everything behind Gambling mechanics for a game rated for 7 year olds. And the stuff behind the Gambling Pay wall aren't even worth it, your paying around $100 for a top tier vehicle which isn't even good. Don't play this game and especially don't play any game by WarGaming, go spend that $100 on something worth a lot more than gambling mechanics, an incredibly buggy game at the moment and a company that really wants your wallet.

This is by far one of the best games to have ever existed, though that's not to say it is perfect because no game is perfect. Now lets start with the positives. The 9 classes in this games are perfect and anyone can recognise them, from the heavy to soldier, sniper and pyro and the medic, we can all recognise them. Furthermore the weapon selection is great as you can pick any set of weapons (though some load outs are pretty bad). And not to mention the extensive range of cosmetics and taunts (though some can be ridiculously expensive).

Though there are some glaring down sides that come to this game. First off all, waiting for a large update takes forever from valve and most off the time we never know whats coming, in addition some weapons are really unbalanced and can be frustrating to use or fight against. Lastly it takes a lot of time and dedication to get good at the game and especially for certain classes.

Other than those problems I would give it a solid 9/10 it is great to load up with your friends and go play some casual or mess about on the community servers. I would recommend this game for anyone who gets steam.
