Rainbow Six: Siege
Siege is (meant to be) a tactical team based first person shooter where two teams of five battle it out for control of a point, over a hostage or deciding which setting the microwave should be on-I mean uh defusing/preventing the defuse of a bomb across a wide range of maps.

What Siege actually is is one team giving 120% to the point of berating their own team while the other, often better team all go the default operator with shotguns and wipe the floor with their opponents.

If you have a passing interest in the game, I'm sure you're aware of the whole thing about operators, special gadgets and customisable loadouts, so at the risk of upsetting Glaz I'll spare you the details and get into the pros and cons.

Pros
-Wide range of characters with customisable loadouts to fit any playstyle. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or the freshest Recruit, there's an operator for you.
-Brilliant sound design (sound is warped depending on enemy positions (bass boosted if above you for instance)).
-UI is informative without overloading players with information.
-No two rounds are ever the same.

Cons
-The hit reg is just painfully average at best. Expect "How was that not a headshot?" to be your most said quote every year the moment you pick this game up.
-Other players are 70% toxic tryhards, 20% purposefully trying to screw up their teammates' game, and only 10% actually want to have fun that isn't at the expense of others.
-As is the rule of anything, you can hold an angle for hours, but the moment you look away, that's when the enemy charges.

Final Thoughts
"A word of advice. No lag."
I would highly recommend giving the game a go. It boasts strong gunplay with a wide range of customisation between operators to allow one to perfect their play. I would also recommend however to just take it easy. With its wonky hitreg and toxic community it can get very frustrating very quickly, and taking a more laid back approach and just having fun is often the best way to keep that smile on your face and make that money spent worth it.

And for the love of all things worth eating, NEVER play this game solo! This game won the Better With Friends award 2018 for a reason. If you're solo-queuing, expect your team to shoot you on sight and then kick you. And yes, team killing is a thing.
