Finally back after all these years, and, without many of the issues that plagued the original's launch.
The same smooth gameplay, amazing and fluid movement/stamina system, and, fun heroes to play, all for one buy-in price and no MTX afterwards

The new Rush gamemode, however, I will say, I'm not a fan of being the only available thing at first...
Its just the original gamemode but everyone starts at level 10, no creatures can be spawned, and, with only one wound to each guardian instead of 3

They removed just about everything unique that I loved from Paragon and League of Legends-ified it
The entire item store is bit for bit copied from League so closely that even Smite manages to be more unique from League in that aspect

Some of my favourite abilities, like, Kallari's death sentence (Global teleport) just, deleted and replaced with some uninspired, nonsensical and completely unsynergistic dash spin because, again, League of Legends-ified.

Main dev, Frooxius, left and took the rest of the staff team with him to go work on a new project called Resonite

The only person left is some neckbeard crypto-bro that wants to turn the game into a "Crypto-metaverse" or whatever the ♥♥♥♥ he calls it, and, also port this game to a different engine because he doesn't know how to work with Frooxius's frooxengine. News flash buddy, Neos IS the Frooxengine, and Neos was Frooxius. With both of those gone, you have nothing left in this game

This game is dead as hell. Congratulations mr crypto dev, you won in name alone. Your prize? A game that had its heart ripped out and the eternal hatred of everyone who played it

Played through the pre-release period. Posting this review on launch

This game has so many big things going for it, and, so many small things working against it. Those small things can be fixed very easily though, and, in exchange, we have the core fundamentals of the game, story and themes of the game shining through as a huge step up from PD2

Stealth in particular has gone from something I found to be passable, to, something I find exhilirating and extremely well designed. Rock the Cradle stands out as an absolutely amazing stealth heist that felt like it was designed with so many differing methods of approach.

Are there flaws with the game? Oh hell yes.
Are they enough to detract from the game? Maybe for a few seconds as you complain to yourself "That's annoying". But, generally speaking, I don't think they detract from the game at large

Things like a bad UI, slow matchmaking, friendly AI being bad, and other such things are annoying. But I really don't think they ruin the game in any capacity.

God, yes, good, so good.

Finally, an asymmetric horror game that feels fresh and interesting, and less formulaic than most I've seen before.
From the simple changes like, a health bar and highly variable damage numbers over the usual health states most games in this genre have, to the four separate methods of escape instead of the usual one singular one, and, the fact that both sides have multiple objectives to do.

But, the main selling point for me is the fact that, finally, it's a game where I can play as the killer team with my friends. No more playing exclusively the victims any time you want to play with friends.

Playing with friends as the family is something I have been waiting for forever...

I find it, very hard to believe that this game was made only by two people and that this is their first game, but, apparently that's all true

The game is, honestly, just really good. A bit buggy at times, but, a lot of the bugs I personally encountered were fixed in the various patches that I saw came out after I beat the game.
Additionally, when me and a friend encountered a softlock, game breaking bug involving a keycard not spawning, the developers were very quick to give us a new save-game putting us right back to where we were previously.

The puzzles are, honestly super interesting and fun, and, while sometimes there were things that were a little obscure or, had questionable logic, like using the utility panel under the coolant/water and grabbing it with the crane to let your friend stand atop it and lift them over the water to see the lights that. Took us a while to figure that one out even though we knew where the panel was, it never occurred to us to use it that way for the first like, half hour or so. But, I would say that, nothing I would say ever really detracted from the game, or made it less enjoyable.

The only few issues I would say are
Animations, outside of canned animations (LIke, just, general moving around during normal gameplay) are a little janky
The shooting is, a bit just barely on the side of low impact. It's not, bad, but it could be better. To add onto this, some of the combat encounters felt a bit... Awkward, namely the ones against the small little spider, scorpion things. Just, odd.
And lastly... It's a bit on the short side. Beating the game just kinda left me in a situation where I wanted to play more of it, but, sadly, no such thing. I haven't TRIED replaying it, but, it does feel like it wouldn't lend well to a replay outside of speedrunning (Which, I'm personally not a huge fan of. Not my thing)

All in all, those few issues do make the game bit less enjoyable, but, not enough to make it bad. It is overall a great game.
Would recommend, and, really want to see a sequel or, DLC missions that take place before the main story

What a massive disappointment.
The core gameplay is fine, and the music is great, but, that's all there is. Nothing else.
There's nothing to do that is new. You've played one mission, you've basically played them all.

No story, boring progression, the same repetitive maps and missions, very few interesting weapons...
Vermintide 2 has an actual story, and interesting maps that feel like something new. How the hell did they manage to downgrade this game in so many ways?

I waited to post this review for a while hoping the game would get better. It didn't.

Game ruined with features stripped out, graphics downgraded, performance ruined, maps made empty and barren, all so that it could run on the Quest... Instead of doing what every other VR game does and implementing a separate Quest version. Don't bother with it.

I only just realized I hadn't reviewed this yet, which, is kinda absurd
This game has to be easily one of my favourite games of all time.

Both the singleplayer and online of this game, are, simply phenomenal, although, the online is fairly dead compared to GTA:O (Which, sucks, cause I heavily prefer it to GTA:O in just about every way)
Though, the online does have a few hackers here and there, it's, usually fairly easy to avoid, considering all that is required is to transfer to a new session, which, doesn't displace you that much in the world. (I've seen worse in GTA by far)

Though, I will mention, things like the detailed animation for just about everything (Skinning, looting bodies, grabbing items etc.), the small details and systems (Cleaning guns, cleaning and feeding your horse, a hunger system lightweight and unobtrusive enough it doesn't turn the game into a full on survival game) and, huge, open world with lack of easy to access fast travel are things that I absolutely LOVE in games, but, not everyone really does.

Gameplay wise, everything from the combat to the simple interactions are just, well designed.
Combat specifically, is, exceedingly satisfying, with the ragdoll physics, detailed yet realistic and not overdone blood and gore, as well as the guns all feeling simply great to use and fire (Gunplay is, way better on PC when you don't have that stupid auto-aim Rockstar console games tend to have)
Melee combat in specific is extremely satisfying, and, earns an award for managing to be situationally useful against guns due to the ability to tackle and/or disarm enemies, grapple them, etc.

The world and story are something you can't really explain through text other than generic terms that you generally see thrown at any game, so, best I can say is, experience it for yourself.
Arthur Morgan, sorry to say, easily triumphs John Marston in the first game, though, this game also expands on John, showing how he grew, and, how naive he was before said growing.

I could go on for a while, but, I'd rather not create a damn essay about every aspect of the game.
It's a masterpiece, simple as.
GTA's popularity over this won't ever stop confusing me

I have NEVER seen worse performance from any VR game in my entire life. Even when I had a computer that was worse, I could still run most games better than I can run this game now with a better PC.

2060 6GB, i7-7700k, 16GB of ram
Meeting all the requirements for, not just, minimum, but, for recommended
And yet I can't run the game on the lowest possible settings.
