The Beginning
I started playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in Fall 2014 as I was more or less alone in a student exchange in the United States. I quickly started to adapt the gameplay style of this game and became better but was stuck in Silver IV or so. Many friends were made at that time and in the beginning of 2015 I found a very big change in my CS:GO gaming routine, a user named funktonics who later became one of my best friends while I was in the US. He helped to become so much better and after I have received lots of feedback I joined his team or more a community that was called West Coast Wolves . It was tons of fun and I could not be more grateful for such an experience. As I left the US around July of 2015 I was supreme and improved my gameplay and knowledge about the game by an indescribable amount.
How I lost Intrest
Back in Germany I tried to find a new team to continue getting better but I was not able to find a longer lasting team. Now high school I was facing a more challeging level of education that there was not a lot of time to spare for gaming. I also focused more on getting in touch outside the gaming world and so I got worse at the game and at one point stopped playing completely.
And How I got It back
It turns out that some of my friends play cs and so I started playing a little again. It was always more smurfing as I was global before I stopped playing. They were more around gold nova. I convinced myself that it was the right thing to do but I quickly became desinterested again as it was never a real challenge for me. I became frustrated and started looking for a new team and I found one through which I could achieve a little more self respect than I did before that. Sadly the team broke off and I slipped into the old habits again of smurfing all day, everyday.
Where I am right Now
To compensate for my smurfing adventure a bit back I started playing more frequently on my main account matchmaking and also purchased esea to compete against higher level players. It was really fun and this is how found my current team nochBock? . It is real fun playing with these guys and I feel challenged when I play with them against other teams. I hope that the team will continue existing and that we might win something someday.
Update?
After more than a 2 year break I currently play for in Perpetuum Academia . We sadly missed our chance to move to a higher division in the last season but we are prepared to rise to the occasion and plan on finishing on top for the coming season.
