So after putting in probably another thousand hours into the game alot has change and alot of the points I made in the previous version of this review have been remedied or changed, so its time to start fresh. Today they announced with the Lightfall showcase alot of good changes. My biggest gripe with the game previously is the DCV or Destiny Content Vault where they would remove and vault DLC and content from the game. idk about you but I PAID for the DLC and content and for it to be removed left a really sour taste in my mouth. With the showcase it was announced that there will no longer be any removing of content from the game, which is huge, the content im paying for is here to stay.

PvP is still really kinda in a rough place, with every re release and overhaul of the subclasses there are some really unbalanced things.Unbalanced things that give other people the edge with no real drawback just makes the game unfun to play for both parties. For the "End game PVP" aka trials of osiris the biggest issue atm is that there is a flawless pool, and what that means is that to go flawless you have to get 7 wins with no losses, which hasnt changed, but once you go flawless once during the weekend on sunday youre put into a separate pool of players who have all been flawless, and sometimes that pool of players is very small, especially towards the end of seasons. Splitting the pool is unhealthy for the longevity of the game mode and instead of rewarding the people who enjoy trials and want to play it more then just one flawless per weekend its almost like we are being punished in away, as things are you are rewarded for playing the gamemode, getting flawless once, and then not touching it again for the rest of the weekend, and that kind of mindset is bad for the population of the game mode.

Now this issue wouldnt be that bad if we had a fitting reward for continuing to play in flawless pool but in the current sandbox the rewards really arent that great and it really hurts the community and population.

now probably the biggest thing to take away from this review is that, if you install, play, enjoy destiny, it can be a massive time sync, and in my honest opinion, do not spend your time in pvp, pvp is fun for some people, i enjoy it personally, but where Destiny shines is the pve aspects, raids, dungeons, grandmasters, seasonal stories and activities,. you are going to enjoy your time in destiny more if you focus on these things and avoid the pvp, its sad but its true for most people.

so another yearish gone by and im 3300 hours in, and recently, ive genuinely wondered why i still play this game, the servers have been extremely bad and just seem to get worse with every coming update and at this point i dont think ill buy the next big dlc, lightfall. its just almost unplayable with how laughably bad some of the connection has been, especially for pvp. Bungie has taken down their game api twice this season already bc of it, and it just feels like they dont care about updating or maintaining their servers. so for the time being i cannot recommend this game anymore.
