I don't usually review games so apologies if it sucks and is a mess.After beating infectonator 3 after about 8 times i can throw my 2 cents in with everyone else that the difficulty curve is bit too much on the steep cliff side instead of rising hill.Don't get me wrong you can beat the game in it's current state and i did.However the amount of things out to kill your zombies and build the cure snowball too fast early on and in order to finally beat it after failing many times i had to play it very cautiously slowly building my team up and avoiding getting gloabal attention and letting the cure get very close to finish before finally going on the offensive.The way it works now you don't really get to experiment too much and enjoy the carnage due to the ever-present cure bar building to your game over.It will constantly remind you that your gonna have to destroy the region the cure lab is on eventually and if you can't in time your screwed.The bosses are ironically much harder than the cure labs and considering they just double the infection rate for killing them and everyone in the level. They don't really benefit anyone that isn't already going to beat the game and seem like they are there to help speed up the victory lap your taking while finishing off the rest of the world for your win.support items and special zombies are required near the endgame lest the sheer amount of things out there that can kill your zombies screw you over at the start of every level.The variety is great iv'e been really enjoying the new zombie types when i test them out in the early game kinda disappointing that i have to wipe my run in order to get to try out new zombies due to how expensive the dna strand tree gets very quickly.I'm still unsure how to consistently get more without letting the difficulty ramp up too much interesting idea but in practice its not as intuitive as i hoped (maybe im just being retarded here).While some aspects do need to be tweaked on their own the thing that's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it all up is the difficulty curve in the game it's the biggest issue that ties into everything.The levels getting too hard too fast and the cure snowballing its progress due to how difficult it is early on to destroy levels and how fast you will be ramping up global panic thus causing both of these to ramp up very quickly early on especially if you attack a level and ♥♥♥♥ up punishing you by raising panic and making the level harder along with raising global panic.

TLDR:
1. The difficulty curve needs a big tweak as it's easy to get snowballed into a game over due to the panic system discouraging ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around and demands you win most of the time by killing the entire level and avoid causing too much panic.
2.Dna tree is an interesting idea but gets too expensive and you will miss things since its random (again maybe i'm just retarded and dont know how to game the system of getting them).
3.The panic system is interesting but punishes you hard for failing to kill a whole level by raising regional and global panic with minimal cash rewards and infection rate for you and ties into you getting snowballed into a game over if you don't adapt with a cautious and efficient approach.
4.The variety is great in terms of zombies and there abilities but the difficulty and panic system discourages you from running meme builds since you could screw yourself if the enemy difficulty outpaces your zombie stats and resources.
5.The reporters and their stories are still great and i love that part.
6.The bosses are fun but also the hardest levels and the reward only benefits someone who's already going to beat their run and just seems like it's there to speed up their victory lap.
7.The door system is a good addition nothing is funnier than dropping dracula into a closed room with 10 people and watching him go to town it also means you need to pay attention lest all your zombies lifespans run out and you missed a few people since you forgot to open their door and let your zombies in.
8.Near the end on the hardest levels you will have to use a bunch of support items since the regular citizen to things that wanna kill you ratio gets close to around 50/50 especially once the super soldier zombie killers come in.
9.I'm iffy on the price tag I'd reccomend it for 5 bucks in it's current state since the difficulty will constantly ♥♥♥♥ with your ability to have fun unless you wanna grind out all the modifiers for easy mode thus really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with replay value if they fix it then i'd reccomend it at 10 bucks or 20 percent off sale.Its current price and state is if your a fan and willing to deal with the cost and difficulty.
10.the reward for getting a perfect on a level is nice my only suggestion would be its rewards are increased and scaled up as the difficulty of the game ramps up to help reward skilled players more and allow them some more breathing room.

In closing I enjoyed the game and will reccomend it but with some caveats found in TLDR in it's current state i do hope toge makes profit from the game and tweaks the difficulty curve to allow for more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around since that's the main thing weighing the game down unless you have all the modifiers unlocked.Sorry if this is a complete mess of a review I don't really write these if you wanna ♥♥♥♥ on me the comments are on.

EDIT 2: As of today 5/31/16 I have discovered starbreeze studios has bought the rights to payday from 505 games along with making the previously microtransactiony safe system in payday 2 free for everyone along with a community grenade for all players in the payday 2 steam group and a skill tree overhaul while i don't think this has redeemed them 100 percent for that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ move that got pulled along with their response to the community I do however think its a step in the right direction and im changing this to positive along with being caustiously optimistic this could change however.

Edit: update you can now get drills for free randomly from heists like it should have been however the fact that they still thought microtransactions were a good thing to put in the game for the first day of crimefest is still total crap ALSO THEY NEVER APOLOGIZED i will probably still play the game but now i just have sour feelings twoards starbreeze and overkill thanks alot you jerks I GUESS THE JOKES ON ME THE MOST CAUSE I ACTUALLY BOUGHT THE COMPLETELY OVERKILL PACK TO SUPPORT YOU GUYS DURING HYPETRAIN THANKS ALOT YOU JERKS!!!

TL;DR THIS GAMES FANS ARE DIVIDED BECAUSE OF THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥ MICROTRANSACTIONS ADDED IN AN AWESOME GAME THAT WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO HAVE THEM (EVEN SOME OF THE DEV AND PRODUCERS SAID SO) PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK SKINNERS WILL BE KICKED FROM MOST PUBLIC LOBBIES AS I HAVE SEEN IT HAPPEN MULTIPLE TIMES.

MY OPINION ON THIS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥:
I was hoping to come back to payday 2 excited to play it some more and maybe break 200 hours playtime with the new stuff coming from this years crimefest turns out it is quite the opposite microtransactions in payday 2 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ really? i don't know who made that decision to make this a thing for this game but it was the worst one ever this is the first review i have ever done for a game and its negative not because its a bad game in and of itself otherwise i would not have 100+ hours on it this game is good and even tho the recent update added ♥♥♥♥♥♥ microtransactions it also balanced it so guns are far more balanced and in general better which is to be commended however this ♥♥♥♥ cannot stand if it stays this game probably wont die but it will continue to divide the community far more than any of the paid dlc heists ever could
please overkill and or 505 games studios get rid of this microtransaction crap theres no way whatever your making off this can be worth the amount of backlash and player division it brings to your game it cannot stand.
