An interesting sci-fi adventure game, in which you assume the role of a young xenobiologist just woken up from cryo-sleep on a damaged spaceship with the crew nowhere in sight. After establishing contact with the ship’s AI and the mobile explorator ♥♥♥ (Mobot), she sets out on the quest to explore the planets in the solar system where the ship has ended and discover its secrets, along with solving the mystery about what happened to the expedition. The game is designed as first-person point&click adventure, where you collect items, analyze them and apply in the right manner, solve puzzles and get past coded devices, assemble clues and use them to deduce the chain of past events. On the graphics side, individual screens have a nice look, animations are few and far in between with the quality corresponding the year of the game’s release. Music consists of some interesting melodies that underscore the atmosphere of space and individual planets nicely, and the dialogs are completely voiced with good quality. Game length is somewhere in the medium range, and will largely depend on your ability to solve puzzles (some of which are not quite trivial). There is also a DLC available with additional content, containing soundtrack and additional puzzles. Overall, J.U.L.I.A. is a good space adventure game that all space geeks and AI fans should definitely try.
