I preface that i am currently in the middle of the White March Part 2, with about half of the main story.

MANY TIMES I HAVE BIT ON THE GAME AND IT SHATTERS MY TEETH. THE THIRD TIME WAS TRULY THE CHARM (Wizards using mit and dex, attributes usually reserved for rogues and warriors, as avenues for progression was a little odd to me but I got used to it). BALDURS GATE 1 & BALDURS GATE 2 PREPARED ME FOR THIS, BE FOREWARNED YOU (might, what may seem like an impossible fight or enemy probably has a weakness or something else you can exploit. Luck is a factor but can be heavily mitigated with proper preparedness, I know you can do it :) ) LIVE AND DIE BY THE DICE. YOU MIGHT RELOAD FROM A DEATH A LOT, A LITTLE OR NOT AT ALL (Path of Iron). MY MUCH OF THE STORY ENJOYMENT WAS SUSTINATED BY THE COMPANIONS, ONLY 1 OR 2 REALLY DIDN'T PIQUE MY INTEREST BUT I LOVE THEM ALL THE SAME. MAKE YOUR DECISIONS, DECIDE YOUR MORALS, FOR YOU SHALL MAKE HISTORY.
