Game is good, just wanna add a positive steam review to help it.

I would like to give this game a review in order to hopefully bump it up to be seen by more people. I do love this game and want it to succeed.

Things I liked:
-I loved is just the amount of different and unique spells you could make and use and how you could mix and match them on any gun allowing you to create some truly unique weapons I haven't seen from any other game.
-The combat is very fun and feels enjoyable with all the spells you have access to playing well together against most enemies.
-I do adore how the gathering part of the survival game is done. That being going out into a decaying world and gathering as much as you can before it gets destroyed, then taking it back to your base which never is put in harms way, giving an ever changing world and one static pillar to call home. Allowing for great exploration while still making your base feel important.
-Soundtrack is epic.

Things I disliked:
-There is a lack in the variety of guns, only 4 types in total and that honestly feels like a letdown as having more ways to shoot spells would have made gun crafting so much more enjoyable. Being able to use one of the bosses weapons like the minigun or the cannon would have felt great. Like making an oil cannon from the third bosses weapon that douses a huge amount of tiles in oil at the cost of not having much max ammo and a slow fire rate and then adding fire trail to make it an instant forest fire in a single bullet.
TLDR: There are plenty of bullet types, just want more gun types to deliver said bullets with.
-Too small of a hotbar. So many guns combinations to make, too little space to have purely wacky guns as often times experimenting would leave me without a gun I needed for combat.
-More modifiers to spells, for example a frost one that makes it so chilled tiles on the ground don't slow the wizard but instead speed them up. The amount of spell bullets themselves is great, just want more modifiers. Though this lack may have just been due to me playing with mainly cold/freeze/icewalls all game.

Overall good game though, most of my things I disliked are nitpicks that can be changed over time, while most of my positives are things with the core game that they got right and those are the most important. If you got the cash buy it, and if you really got the cash, buy it and the soundtrack.

My favorite weapons are my bare hands.
And melee combat being fleshed out like an actual fight is something I love seeing.
And this game does it well, and has good puzzles.
So it's everything I want in a game.

Is good, needs more work, but its good. The ending needs to be more of a base you need to raid and go inside, rather than just something out in the open you can lob mortars at. Next defending the ships from hordes of cogs is fun, there's not much incentive to do it however, as you'd be better off going somewhere safe to do your crafting. Also if this sounds rambly its cuz I just beat the game with two pals and me sleepy.

But basically my idea to fix that is big drills on your drill ship. Like a mining module that extracts lots of resources when on the surface but makes bots notice you and send waves after you and have specific drill spots have different resources (Just don't make safe areas have any of these)

Second complaint, make automatic weapons do a bit more damage, feel too weak to use against most if not all bots, you use 250 gatling gun rounds to go through like, 3 cogs at endgame, which is where you get said gun.

But the mobile base and eruption timer is really cool, made for some tense moments with friends yelling at each other to get in or leaving one of them behind because we simply couldn't afford to wait. If you play I reccomend you do custom and lower enemy hp but up their spawns.

There's a lot of good things about this game, I can't think of many cuz I'm tired, byeeeeeeeee!

Me upon seeing there is a second Risk of Rain: Ah s**t, here we go again.

At some point I hope to go into computer programing and modify the games code to add more stuffs, also it's a good game but it's a d**m shame it doesnt have a sequal because I would pay for that (not too much $10-$30 deping on how expansive it is). Oh yeah this is a game review! Almost forgot to say to play it with friends (or with stangers who you call friends). Also medics can heal you enough to where you can survive a face "hugger". Also the few downsides are the 5-10 minutes it takes to downlad and the time it takes to type one of these.

It's a great game also trust me despite my lack of hours because I rember playing when it was just released(or around a few month from then) on xbox 360 and played it a ton. So devs keep up the great work.

I avenged someone cant rember their name but it went pretty well only 133 non target causualties and 175 injured. (I replayed some missions)
Also didnt know this until after i got this game but got a tf2 hat so i didnt look like a common gibus pyrovisoin goggles f2p so theres that.
