  • Morlan's shorts:
The second video about a "story" is completely needless. There's no story or adventure (that tag should go). Grapple-hook, swing, release.. repeat. That's all. It is done fairly well. The first video is an accurate display of the gameplay. The button/gamepad response feels tight (although a random bug appears where the character is kind of stuck in the beginning and needs to reset level and some other annoyances). It's fun at the start but soon becomes repetitive and then frustratingly hard when trying to master the levels (casual tag must definitely go). People who like (hard) time-attack games and leaderboards will enjoy it more than I. Some praise the price tag but the content feels lacking as most of the time is spent retrying levels to master them.. There's no neutral, blame steeem. It's a minus.

Don't waste more time reading lengthy reviews.. time is of the essence!

Hi, sorry for the dissatisfaction.

Can you tell more about the "a random bug appears where the character is kind of stuck in the beginning and needs to reset level"?

There is no such known bug.

PS1. Wish I could reproduce the "stuck"situation at will but it happened after many plays and retries and totally random. I think it was these two levels, maybe a couple more times. It's not gamebreaking but it was somewhat baffling at the time.

PS2. Is it possible you could implement a "cancel online" button for online waiting? I usually play without allowing it to reach servers and it takes ages to load (1.2...5 fetch, you know). Haven't tried the proper offline Steam mode but I guess it does the same.

It's alright, I highlighted the good parts for others. It just wasn't the best fit for me overall.
The case: The character seemed to be stuck in the starting position (fairly certain I used the gamepad in that instance because I play both -keyboard/gamepad- ) as if there was an immovable object in front. I could jump but I couldn't move straight right unless I pressed boost. I remember two levels when it occured. In the Sand chapter in "Mist" and "The Hill". I had to reset the level maybe a couple of times. I can't tell you anymore more specific details, maybe I held the buttons/pad pressed all the time, while resetting I mean, and it confused it? Although it shouldn't.. The gamepad is fairly old (Logitech RumblePad 2, wired) but all the buttons work so I don't think it was a case of bad connection of buttons.
