To counter all the negatives right now, I wanted to state that I've been playing the game since it launched into Early Access. It's got a lot of hurdles at the moment- mostly bugs related to crashes, GFX and sound issues, as well as some issues with unlocking items / cosmetics / etc. (Plus, some dinosaurs like the Anky are a bit ... -too- difficult on solo,) That said, the core gameplay is amazing. The story so far is amazing, the gunplay, dinosaurs, etc... you get the picture. The base game is a lot of fun, and while its marred by its faults and bugs, the devs have repeatedly stated that they're working on it.

I don't know why folks are calling it Shovelware, the devs had been releasing free updates every few months up until September when they decided they were going to hold on to all the next goodies until 1.0 Launch.

It's important to note that once you purchase this game, everything in game is free to unlock and use, you just have to play to acquire. There are no MTX ((At least at the time of writing this. Whether that changes during 1.0 launch I cannot say.))

That being said, as many others have stated, and I myself did above:

Great game, with a lot of flaws, but it's worth it.

((We're getting a new map in 1.0 too! So that's exciting.))

If you're hesitant, it's on sale until July 7th (at the time of writing this review,) for like, $10. I'd wait for a sale if you aren't sold on it but interested, otherwise any support is good support!

This was very much an exhausted Ramble of a review, due to lack of sleep over the last couple days. That said, I saw "Mixed" and wanted to clear some stuff up as best I could. It's -very much- a rough around the edges game, but overall its a blast to play.

Played this game for a long time, and loved it.

But real talk? ♥♥♥♥ Off with the NFT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Supported this game for a long time only for the glaring issues within it to be ignored, and them to do this instead.

Nah.

Go look up VHS instead, looks like they're gonna be what this game wishes it were.

This is just if I remember correctly, but I purchased ESO back when it first came out (Or -just- after release,) and I would say that, since playing from back then, It's definitely evolved to be a lot more user friendly, and allows for you to play with your friends in a much easier way.
So, in a way, good job Zenimax for turning a really bad launch into a great lifelong commitment.

I would very much recommend this game for anyone whose looking for a new MMO to try, as well as likes the Elder Scrolls universe. :)
