I played this card game inspired by The Witcher since when Beta was out on GOG. Surprisingly, the game was a bit different from the minigame present on The Witcher 3.
The team worked a lot on it and many changes came up like removing one of the 3 lines, adding tons of new mechanics, balancing cards power, adding new factions etc etc.
I stopped playing Gwent when it came out from Beta due to their massive changes but when i realize that those were absolutely made to improve the whole game, i came back. That was a good move.
Developers worked so hard to make it a different game from what it was in origin and now i can only say: they were right. No doubt at all. Now this is the best card game out there, crazy mechanics, heroes themed by The Witcher, a lore with no equals , challenging games and on the top of that, the artwork. Guys, these cards are AMAZING, all made by professional designers, available in the classic format or animated - i never see cards with such a good quality artwork - that produce an immersive feeling when played, resulting in a thriller atmosphere while you are considering which would be the next better move to do or when you are suffering calculating if your opponent will beat you by 1 point with his last card! Beautiful!
Gwent is completely free, you can unlock cards - the most important thing- or a good variety of cosmetics that doesnt affect the game simply by playing it, its not a p2w at all.
There is also an E-sport competitive scene where the best players can play to earn money , its so fun to watch. If u are tired of those mainstream card games that has poor feeling and too much nrg, give GWENT a try, you will love it if u like card games!
I got 2k hours on GOG and not tired at all!

I can only say "try it by yourself" . One of the funniest games i've ever played, you can play it just for fun or you can improve your skills by training hard to climb competitive ranks. It's an endless learning game, be aware because is addicted.
Tons of different items to personalize your cars and a big trade market items community gives to the player a lot of fun with a game-in-game trading system. 10/10.
