I've played Craftopia before the seamless update, it had its bugs and its downsides, and with the seamless update, they removed and blocked a fair amount of the "endgame content" as it is unfinished, but as it stands, this is a great game. It needs a lot of work (I mean, it is still an early access game, still says its in its alpha version), but you can tell some of the fundamentals are in place. Certain things need fine tuning, polishing, or maybe re iterating, but as it stands, this game fulfills so many things, and that is what makes it enjoyable. Even though this small team of developers may take longer than they promise to release content, I don't mind waiting for them to release said content. I'd prefer they release solid content to their game, then try to appease the masses and release unfinished or buggy content. Its a beautiful game, the music is great, although repetitive and not super diverse. They offer many different play styles to the game, some are stronger than others, but that was covered above. As I mentioned above, the game does have its bugs and problems, that much can be expected, much like many other reviews, I would love to be able to play the game bug free, and fully developed, I've read and heard that there are many issues with multiplayer and optimization, I will agree with those claims, but deep down I know how disheartening it can be to only hear about the negatives of your game, or to read about people trashing what you've spent years trying to create, so I will repeat myself now. Craftopia is a great game, you can tell the fundamentals of their idea is coming together, yes it needs optimization and fine tuning, some things need more attention than that, but with time even those things will be ironed out. The music is beautiful, but maybe needs more diversity. The different play styles you can take in the game are great, but may need some tuning to make them more balanced, as it seems melee doesn't seem as strong as ranged in almost all cases, but that's okay. I'm more than willing to give them time to continue this project. I'd give it a 7/10 for how much I enjoy this game, and I'm excited to see their finished product.
