I hate The Big Bang Theory season 8 episode 22.
In this episode, the guys have a broken drone and they attempt to fix it. Howard keeps talking about the components in the drone and it's sickening. I honestly couldn't watch because the writers clearly had no idea what they were looking at. He called a pdb (power distribution board) a power supply as well as random gibberish that is hurting me, like "miniaturized integrated logic circuit" and "faulty pin on the onboard communication chip". Furthermore, they attempt to calibrate it via an auxiliary switch on the controller which apparently needs to be flicked on and off "at least 10 times". This is not how actual flight controller calibration works. And when they put the quad back together, as soon as they raise the throttle, white smoke emits from the rear of the drone. If you really had a short circuit on a drone, it would short instantly and there is only a smell, the only thing that could cause smoke would be impaling the lipo battery, which was not the case here. Then all of the sudden, the drone somehow starts flying around and the explanation is that "it is getting a Wi-Fi signal from somewhere else". Quads don't use Wi-Fi for control, they use different radio waves, usually 2.4 GHZ.
This was the worst episode ever.
