yeah, it's a bit janky sometimes, matchmaking still has some issues to iron out, i'd say, and oh man have I spent hours trying to fix dumb error messages (looking at you 3--2147221502), but honestly I love this game, the combat is so engaging you forget you're a real person sometimes x)

10/10 gameplay, story, multiplayer, basically everything except the zombie raids because even if you win people can just leave before you get your reward. But seriously, this game is amazing

Absolutely 100% I recommend this game. I played maybe 30 hours on PS4, then decided to switch to PC both for performance, and to support the studio.
Pros:
- Graphics and environments are stunning
- combat is tricky to learn, but rewarding, especially against other players
- honestly the clothes look super cool x)
- has easy to use co op for the main 'story' - more on the story below
- despite having such a small player base (which I hope changes with the downfall update), matchmaking is fairly fast, taking less than 2 minutes each time I queue for a 1v1, no matter the time of day.
- you can put together your own moves to create a deck
- customization options for combat deck are extensive
- school system unique to this game allows some pretty cool player interaction and depth to the game
- no pay to play content - all customization options use only in-game currency
Cons:
most people put 'lack of content' or 'super short story' here, but I disagree. It takes about 9-10 hours to beat each of the bosses in their first stage, then probably another 8-10 to beat each of them in their final stage. I would agree with the complaints if this was the full extent of the game, but considering that the game is built around the PvP element, it's almost like saying "I can't stand rocket league because there's not enough content" If anything, I think that the complaints about the story come from a longing for there to be an entire planet to explore, because of how engaging and beautiful it all is.

- small player base, but that's easily remedied!
- the difficulty can put some people off, though it's not as bad as a souls game
- matchmaking is pretty random for now, but that's on the player base size as well

tl:dr well worth the money, especially considering that you're helping a small indie company stay afloat as well

100% recommend this game. It's like a Harvest Moon reboot but with so much more to do, and that was before the addition of cooperative multiplayer. Dev team is super active and open to feedback as well. If you're interested in this game, no need to even wait for a sale, it's worth every penny

All in all a good game, and I'm happy with the time that I did play it, but I can't say that I would want to play any more. Cool idea, having everything procedurally generated, and there are some creepy enemies, but there's just not much to the game. Find the teleporter shards, take them to the stone, escape. Though I did only play one full round, i can't see it changing much between playthroughs.

Buy it on sale if you want to try it out, definitely worth looking into, but I don't think it's worth the price.
