Very enjoyable and relaxing fishing sim, Haddock Tycoon at it's finest...

So here's an interesting turn of events.

For the longest time there have been many people asking for a multiplayer feature for Gold Rush. However the developers made the game to be single player only. I actually supported this decision for a long time which anyone can see in the pinned thread for multiplayer.

So one day I posted:

Rather than make this an MP game.. It would make more sense to make the "next" game MP from the ground up..

In fact... someone thought of it.

This of course included a link to Gold Hunter which is a game in development that offers similar gold mining but.. with Multiplayer... a feature many were asking for.

Several months passed by and out of the blue I received a permanent ban to the GR forums. it was odd that it was for the post above. but it had " publicity" as the reason for the perma ban. Strange.. a perma ban for posting a link to another game on steam of the same genre and on topic since this was a discussion about Multiplayer.

Clearly the developers are highly threatened by this new game which is not even released yet. So much so that without any warning they issue perma bans to silence any notion of competition.

Well if nothing else, it speaks volumes about the developers character and temperament.

First time playthrough. I find it enoyable.

In the description:

"You've felt the pressure of joining a team that has high ambitions and an ever-watching Chairman breathing down your neck."

This is still the case with the DLC.

- You still have someone pressing you to place above a certain standing.

And in the following season, your forced to increase that limit.

I still voted up this DLC, however it does not offer the free reign I thought this DLC offered. you can still be removed by not reaching the minimum pressure of the chairman.

You own the team that you made from scratch.. but you can still get removed as leader of your own team.

Even though there were a number of negative reviews, I decided to get the game anyway. I am glad I did.
I am enjoying the simplicity as well as the variety the game offers.
I like how wear and tear is a factor
I like how you can build up a car, drive it, break it, and then fix it up again.
If you have played car mechanic, My summer car, or jalopy.. you may just find this title to encompass elements of all three of those titles. In many ways, Revhead takes the best elements of those games and brings them together for a unique game experience.
I look forward to ongoing updates which will add to an already interesting concept.

Watched the movie Martian? This is as close as you will get to living that experience, and so much more. Can you survive?

This game is shaping up to be an amazing simulation of visiting far off planets in our solar system as a pioneer into the limits of human survivability. It is a hostile place filled with dangerous solar radiation, no air to breath, no food, no water, and nowhere to live. You are tasked with overcoming these challenges using the most current technologies available to mankind.

Mars... your journey begins here...

This Early Access game is not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development.

And how did they choose to progress further in development?

Buy ARK: Scorched Earth - Expansion Pack

- EXPLORE A NEW WORLD
- TAME NEW CREATURES
- CRAFT OVER 50 NEW ITEMS
- CONQUER NEW CHALLENGES
- TRAVEL BETWEEN ARKS

So buy an incomplete game, then buy the DLC in order to get content that should have been part of the development progress.

How many more DLC’s will you have to buy before the game is considered completed?

What can I say.. it's already been said.. Tropico 4 is better than T5.

I am just glad that I paid only 10,00 for the complete collection during the summer sale. Since this one is now on the shelf.

If it had the visiuals of T5 and the mechanics of T4 this would be an awsome game.. Alas, a step backwards removes that desire towards replayability.

I like it. the game plays very much like the old race into space version back in the day.
Although I do appreciate the sandbox feature in this iteration. A more relaxed pace with a fresh new look.
Since I started playing I have been watching movies that inspire. Such as Apollo 13, Space cowboys, etc...

Not for everyone, but many of the old BARIS guys will love it.

Still very new to the game. But what I see, I like. Not only is the game an interesting online racing management simulator, it has that tycoon element that provides satisfaction as you rank up. Moreover, the developers are very active and quick to respond with helpfull support.

I will of course update this review after I have implemented more hours into it.

But for now. I think the game is a good means of entertainment.
