A great game that builds upon the previous title 2070.
2205 has removed the tedious need for micro management of resourse stock and distribution and has added new production chains which go very well with the theme.
Building on the moon is costly, and rightly so given the distance and hostility of such a venture. It is also very rewarding.

After 15 hours I am very much pleased with how the game has been progressing and I recommend it to anyone that has both played 2070 or simply like ganes of growth and accomplishement of both structured and personal goals..

A fantastic adventure of the imagination..

I cannot positively endorse this product as steam tries to implement a Pay for Mods money grab...

Only 20 hours into StarDrive 2 and I am enjoying every aspect of this game. Even the ground battles are a welcome feature. What I find to be the most notable is the frequency by which the developmer has released updates. A majority of people made suggestions on the forums and in a matter of hours an update was available answering the call.

I see myself enjoying this title for a long time.

I very much wanted to like this game. I have over 85 gaming titles, including "other" train sims. Many have incredible graphic emersion and I set them all to the highest resolution available. These games run smooth and with solid framerates. (none of them required me to "tinker" with the graphic card or any aspect of my computer to run at capasity)

So when I looked at this game I saw that the graphics were not of the same caliber I assumed that running the game would be a breeze for my computer. Wow.. was I wrong.

I loaded my first game (Medium map) and once it loaded I was beside myself at the lag that was present. I thought.. this cant be right... So I tried to dumb down the graphic settings to see if it helped. No change..

System Specs:

I7 3.00 on an X58 motherboard.
24 gig of ram
Nvidia GTX 580 (2 gig Vram)
Win 7 pro

Even with this level of system resourses the lag spikes make this game unplayable.
And I don't understand it. I run Skyrim at full settings, X Rebirth at full settings, Crysis 3 at full settings. and all of them are high end graphical miracles that emerse you into new and amazing worlds. Train Fever although fun looking does not even come close to delivering this experience. Its a map with roads and rails crossing over them. You dont even get a "ride / follow the train" view.

How can a simplistic looking map game harsh my system so bad?

Clearly there is something wrong with the game. And I will NOT tinker with my system to make this game work at the risk of making my computer unable to run the other games.
When someone buys a new game. they should not have to jump hoops to make it work. The developers need to sort it out within the code. To do anything less will only limit your market share. Not everyone knows how to tinker with system settings.

I am very disapointed with Train Fever and I have no choice but to shelve it as an "unplayable game" and move on to another game. I cannot recommend this to anyone and I caution those that are considering buying it.. You WILL be disapointed with the frame rate.
