A game like this is special, and only comes around maybe once in a generation. The amount of hard work, passion, dedication, talent, and co-operation that went into making this masterpiece of a game is unfathomable to my brain, and yet it exists.

Congratulations to Larian Studios for winning so many awards at The Game Awards 2023, including best game of year 2023. A well deserved accolade and title.

If you're on the fence about whether or not to buy this game to try it out for yourself, my review is probably not going to sway you. This game may or may not be for everyone - but none-the-less is a true work of art.

This is a pretty amazing Alpha and proof of concept. There is a lot of the developer could do (and of course/I'm sure will do) to make this game *chef's kiss*. The combat and sound design feels really immersive, and I absolutely love the Diablo 1 aesthetic. I've pretty much unlocked everything I can now and see A LOT of potential for this game by the time it reaches Beta, and Release. There's a lot of groundwork done, now it's just time to create features and content.- More items- More Unique items (this is what made Diablo 1 and 2 what they are)- DPS Counters for abilities and main attack- More classes/characters- More playful/interesting way to create your builds- - On this point, I'd maybe try making a skill tree for each class (a lot of work I know)- - Have most skill points available from the start, and balance the game around the fact that players will spend those points, but have unique paths to go down that lends itself to a particular or preferred playstyle.Developer's got the juice for the game, now make it squeeze :).

Great game. Auto-battler, but with lots of strategy and fore-thought. It gets better as you play. Starts off with 2v2s, then 3v3s, then 4v4s. Has multiplayer, and custom options to change how you want to play your game (like starting off with all random champions, or starting the playthrough with 4v4 out the gate etc). Super fun, but can be difficult. Understanding match ups between certain champions and synergies its super important.

Honestly, it's a really good deck-building game. It's a dungeon-crawl rogue-like where death is permament, but there is a fun meta-progression and a TON of new classes, cards, abilities, play styles, passives and all sorts of things to unlock as you play.

Graphics look like they were drawn by a complete beginner artist, there are no animations, but as an indie developer myself - I get it. The game mechanics and game play itself is a straight 10/10 for what it is. Tons of content. Worth the money, the developer is a smart individual, made a great game.

Also, it's super hard. You're going to die a ton, but it's fun re-doing dungeons with different classes and builds .

Pro-tip: try to play something new almost every run and try new things so you unlock more progression and get stronger overall.

Game is actually really fun. Their is a very fun progression in the game, when you die, you lose your equipment and some levels and items. But every run you're a bit stronger from Perma-learning skills, and putting a lot of stat points in over time. There is some pretty crazy skills and seemingly game-breaking things you can do if you're patient enough. I love it.

Feels like an old school dungeon crawl, but with a diablo 2 kind of feel to the items. It's a lot like The Binding of Isaac in a lot ways where you progressively get stronger and stronger and your builds can vary wildly in any one run. In Binding of Isaac, you unlock new items and challenges. In this game, you slowly build up what kind of build you think you would like. It's awesome.

The best game I've played in many, many years. Amazing. 100% skill, always ways to improve.
