This is my favorite rpg. At first when I played it, I didnt understand the game too much and kinda passed it off without a second thought. But later down the line I gave the game another try and I was hooked, the combat is fluid, and awesome. Its satisfying when you go into a room full of enemies as a sorcerer and cast high Maelstrom which summons a tornado and causes all the light enemies to be sucked up by it and wiped out while bigger enemies like cyclops will be pulled in by the winds doing huge damage to them. Playing as a warrior or a strider or even a magick archer are great fun as well. Pawns are a great addition and are arguably the best part of the game. You can gear up your pawn with a weapon you choose you can change which vocation they are (sorcerer, mage, warrior, fighter, etc) their stats will go up based on which vocation they currently are in. You can freely change your vocation to level up and adjust your stats as you see fit and for your pawn. The story is actually pretty cool too, I wasnt expecting such a good one my first time through. The dlc is awesome, (provided you have leveled up a bit otherwise you will get wiped out by every single enemy. So I recommend beating the story first. I think this is a must buy for any rpg fans. The textures arent very good and some voice acting can be questionable. But the lighting in this game is top notch, when your running through the wilderness and the sun is going down and you can see little rays from the dying sun push through the trees. Its a great game all around. Give it a shot!
