Although it had a rough launch over time this game has been patched up to become my favourite total war game. The time era is fascinating to me and the DLC campaigns explore some genuinely interesting campaigns throughout history. My biggest problem with Attila was the lack of diversity with the factions overall but there are so many more in Rome 2 in terms of cultures and factions which allows for much more replay-ability in my opinion. It does lack some of the features added in later total war games such as seige escalation, desolating cities etc, a family tree was added in later with a major diplomacy overhaul that modernised the game a bit more. This game combined with the DIVIDE ET IMPERA mod pack adds so much more depth and detail to the game I would highly recommend picking this game up with the dlc when on sale.
