♥♥♥♥ yea! Atmospheric, creepy and chilling sound effects.

*Difficulty
Plenty and more. As in, you will die many many times before you even reach the first boss.

*Lore
OMG, I thought you'd never ask, it is not deep but damn it's messed up (in a good way, so I'm not spoiling anything). Comes in the form of text though, no voice over.

*Crafting
Yes, it has crafting. Simple but intuitive and very well implemented. Nuff said.

*Downsides
There is a tutorial but it doesn't properly cover certain mechanics. It's not very complicated, just don't expect the game to hold your hand and "introduce" every new enemy type and weapon.

*Conclusion
Try at your own risk, I keep coming back to this game every year. don't remember when and where I got it but damn I wish more people knew about this piece of art!
