Typical from AAA games : the first hours are fun, graphics are sexy... yet gameplay ends up being extremely repetitive and conservative

Ghost of Tsushima poses as a combat game but is ultimately a japanese version of Assassin's Creed. Progression is based on stealth and the unlocking of OP abilities which are basically "win buttons". Gameplay becomes quickly unsatisfying as a result, even when you win.

The storyline starts well, but eventually forces you into one single path, despite letting you believe that you have a choice. Most characters are uncompelling : i don't care what happens to them, friend or foe. Japanese culture is itself very poorly represented, most of it through the lens of californian idealist who think they understand everything about Budhism and the Far East thanks to their yoga app.

An acquisition that I sadly regret, and one that proves that AAA games just can't make proper historical RPG

Had a bad experience initially due to a bug that wouldnt let me log in, but seems to have been fixed now.

Great experience gameplay wise, can be both fun and challenging at times. Gunplay feels good, and the progression feels satisfying

4GB Graphics card and 16GB of RAM, yet i constantly crashed at first during battles, even after updating my drivers

After downloading the hotix I can now play on low settings, which still feels a bit out of bounds for a 4x game, no matter how good it looks

Good gameplay experience otherwise, but still quite disappointed by performance. Hope future fixes will help in that regard

The game is based on a good concept, but development is honestly quite slow, with the game still feeling somewhat barebones after so many years. Hopefully more content is added to develop player progression.

Not a bad game to buy if you can get it cheap, but not one that can impose itself as a classic of the survival genre for now. Base building is especially weak in that regard.

Solo mode is buggy and cleary untaken care of. Teams can play with shirts of the same color... Parameters reset all the time, while manager favor can also reset out of nowhere. Crashes and long loading screens are also a thing, on top of a click heavy UI.

Gameplay has also become incredibly janky, especially when defending. Seeing professional players being unable to catch a single ball unless its right on their feet is... insulting at best. You end up with a gameplay where one has to micro manage every-freakin-move. Don't count on ever enjoying the game unless you're an ADHD teen or a sugar addict with the heartbeat of a mating squirrel.

All in all the game mainly generates tension and frustration, something you can check for yourself by looking at pretty much any FIFA stream out there. IMO the brand is benefiting way too much from the lack (serious) competition and has ended up creating a game that doesn't even look like football anymore.

Hard to master, especially if you don't play in a clan, but fun eventually
