Deus Ex is truly one of the greatest games ever. The characters and the story are top notch, even to this day. For a story that was written pre 9/11, it manages to predict numerous things that have since become true. The gameplay is very open ended, go in guns blazing? Sure thing. Knockout everyone non-lethally? Absolutely. Use lock-picks or multitools to bypass security and sneak in? No problem. Find an alternate route using the environment? Go for it. The soundtrack is still spectacular to this day and fits in perfectly with the overall atmosphere of the game. The only real problem that I can pick out with it is the graphics are quite dated and may be a turn off.
