Since I seem to be one of the lucky few who don't really face any performance issues with the game I will focus my review on the game itself.

This review is based on the 10h trial version, so I also won't be able to comment on monster/equipment variety etc since I only had limited insight.

What I saw and played through during the 10h trial I thoroughly enjoyed. While not the best, the graphics look nice enough and the first map was very fun to explore, with a lot of secret little areas that rewarded some equipment for finding them.
The weapons all felt very different and had unique move sets. The combat is rather fast paced which I personally enjoy, although the feedback upon hitting the enemies could be a lot better and feels almost non existent. Using the building mechanic both for traversing through the area but also for fighting gives everything a nice little twist.

After spending about 500h with Monster Hunter World and deciding against buying Rise afterwards I really welcome this game since I appreciate the more simplistic approach to combat mechanics. This of course is a very personal opinion.

And yes, the price tag is too high.

Huge improvement from the first game, and so far no performance issues on my end
