Allright. I'm almost older than dirt as gamers go. My first video gaming experiences were on a Coleco Telstar Arcade circa 1978. It had a wheel, a light gun and a pong type controller.
Next - there was the Intellivision .... then the Commodore VIC-20 ..... Commodore 64 . ..... NES . ..... PC ..... PS2 ....???
And finally we come full circle - back to the PC. I skipped the PS3/ 4 gens since my computer has pretty much the same games but I can get them for around $5 on sale rather than $60 for the console version.
I like adventure games, puzzle games, war games, shooters, and yes - gasp, even some of the casual games.
I also love films and anime. A couple of 1000 blu-rays and DVDs as well as several 100 anime series take up the rear wall of the viewing room. My movie taste is very eclectic to put it mildly. I am not at all a fan of musicals but pretty much anything else goes.
I am an avid reader. A couple 1000 volumes occupy bookshelves all over the house and a few thousand e-books sit in digital readiness.
I LOVE single malt scotch... usually have 10 - 12 kinds on hand.
I also like photography, art, guitar, Cuban cigars, and fine wine - not necessarily in that order.
I love cooking... spicy flavourful foods top my specialties - great BBQing and ethnic foods like Thai, Vietnamese, Indian, and Mexican are amongst my favourite things to cook and eat.
I am also an avid board gamer - you can see our collection on BGG [boardgamegeek.com]. So between board games and video games, I am NEVER a bored gamer!
I have a lovely wife, a cat, and a dog. Life is good. Game on !!!
